“What’s Going On With Starknet?”Lately, Starknet has been going through a rough patch, and the community isn’t too happy about it. The first big problem came with the Starknet airdrop. They decided that only wallets holding at least 0.005 ETH (before Nov 15, 2023) would get rewards. For many people who were active on the network but didn’t keep that much ETH, it felt really unfair. Because of this, a lot of users just walked away. In fact, the daily active users crashed from more than 220k users to about 84k in just one week. That's a huge drop. Then there were technical issues. For example: The system didn’t properly check contract addresses. So, if someone accidentally sent tokens to a wrong or invalid address, the money basically got lost forever. During a past upgrade, users had to update their accounts to get access to their own funds. The ones who didn’t update on time got locked out. Around $550k worth of assets was stuck until Starknet later reopened the process. All this has created frustration in the community. It shows that no matter how good the tech is, if the team doesn’t communicate clearly and add strong safety measures, users lose trust really fast.

“Exploiting users through oversized monthly unlock withdrawals”this project turned out to be all hype with no delivery. instead of building, they dumped liquidity straight on the community, which killed trust and pushed players away. they launched with an inflated fdv and added weird requirements like forcing users to hold 0.01 eth at snapshot. in the end, the setup feels like it was designed to exploit users with massive monthly unlocks rather than create real value.

“Total disaster”The project received the maximum at the beginning of the journey, the support of Vitalik Buterin, the entire crypto community, top funds and influencers. “No community = Ghost Chain”They had a lot of promise initially with a lot of investments, New tech and Developers flocking into the ecosystem but the turning point was the airdrop distribution. They were stubborn and decided to stick with the Devs and ignored the community. They even openly called the community memebers E-Beggars. After that the rest is history. I went there for the airdrop and received it as well but there was just nothing else to do there later on no active and happy participants. After that I never touched starknet and bridged everything out.

“Farmed community”Starknet came with a proposal to be a different blockchain. I used for over a year, spent hundreds dollars in fees, and in the end I received 0 airdrop. Meanwhile a lot of influencers got full budget. They just farmed VC and community money.

“Scam Chain”แม้จะได้ทุนมากมาย และคิดว่าเทคของตัวเองดีแค่ไหน แต่ทีมกลับพูดเหยียดหยามผู้อื่น โดยเฉพาะ User ไม่เคยฟังชุมชนจนกลายเป็นเชนร้างที่แทบไม่มีใครนึกถึง แต่ตอนนี้กลับมาบอกว่า "We listened" อาจจะเพิ่งรู้ตัว แต่มันก็สายเกิน ถือเป็นบทเรียนครั้งสำคัญ ถ้าไม่ให้ความสำคัญต่อ User ก็คงจบไม่ดีเท่าไหร่

“Not a good chain with bad management”I've been keeping an eye on Starknet for a while and while my experience with chain activity lately has been underwhelming. There was a significant surge of users during the token-airdrop hype, but then things dropped off hard many dApps feel quiet, transaction volume seems low compared with its earlier peaks isn’t matching the everyday user feel.

“total garbage”I was pretty active on Starknet early on, but their airdrop distribution left me disappointed. It now down over 87%, it’s a rough spot for holder and the community, hopefully the team turns it around soon but I doubt it.

“Bullish on the tech, but the team lacks clarity”Last year, I was very bullish on the team to the point that I bought their token using a portion of my margin as a form of support for the technology they were building. However, in mid-2024, I sold all the allocation I had accumulated in this token, so I no longer hold any share of it. The reason I sold my entire position was because I didn’t see progress in the technology and fundamentals, which led me to make the decision to sell everything. But at the moment, I remain neutral in observing this project.
