Received · 7Given · 0“The best example of Social Finance”The Arena App is a platform that originally started as Starsarena on Avalanche in 2023, it gained a large amount of traction but then went through a number of scandals involving the former team, involving hacks and also scammy behaviour. This very nearly led to the app closing in late 2023. Luckily, the entire platform was bought by a new team led by Jason Desiomon. Since then, the platform has gone from strength to strength, with a token launch in 2024, a significant increase in app functionality such as spaces and live streaming. The team has heavily rewarded community behaviour that supported that platform and has grown an extensive community across Avalnche that regards it now as the centre of community for Avalnche now. Its a platform that has shown time and time again to promote its Users, and the ecosystem of avax and has been a huge net positive for so many that use it regularly. Though not perfect and still under constant development, I can say without question it has been the most positive experience I've had with a platform in web 3 since I joined and most of the community remains engaged and excited for what is to come next. This platform continues to innovate on what Social finance is and can be and deserves anybody's time who is interested in this area of web 3.

Repeat. They’re not chasing waves; they’re making them. And it shows. Arena blends social and finance in a way that feels natural—like the next evolution of social media in web3. There’s a clean feed where creators earn tips or buy/sell “tickets” so people can connect with them. Creators take 7% on ticket trades by default (buys and sells) and can dial it down to 1% if they want. There’s an in-app wallet where you can add any coin, so you’re never boxed in. Live features? Strong. Stages and livestreams include live chat, tipping, and even tip parties to rally your listeners—genuinely more useful than what X offers right now. They also shipped a memecoin launcher with its own dedicated tab (so the feed stays uncluttered). And if you just want to trade, there’s the companion site at arena.trade. One more thing: they rewarded users with an airdrop worth millions, and most chose to stake rather than dump. At the time of writing, roughly 1.7B $ARENA is staked on the platform, with plans for future incentive campaigns that could drop more $ARENA to active users. Bottom line: Arena isn’t another hype app. It’s becoming the place where crypto’s social life and money flows actually meet. If they keep this cadence, they won’t just join the category—they’ll define it.

I got hacked 3 times but Team and the community didn't gave up. Supported continuously in bad situations. After a year they return the favor to community in the shape of Big Airdrop. The Arena is for Everyone

It lets users tokenize influence through “Tickets” you stake in someone’s presence, get access, and maybe even make returns. It’s not all glamour though — the platform had a security incident, which reminds you this space still has risks. But the team responded, made changes, and the ambition is still there. What I respect most is their vision: creators and users meeting halfway, not just shouting into the void. If you’re curious about where SocialFi might go next, The Arena deserves a look.
