“one of the worst game publishers (if not the worst) in the industry”I am currently 22. I grew up playing a ton of games made by Ubisoft back in my early teens/childhood. Back then, old Ubisoft games like Assassins Creed 1-3 were fun because the development team focused on the actual gameplay (movement, map, rich story, and combat) design, and less on microtransaction money-printing opportunities that are ever-present today. I missed when the company focused on giving the player opportunities to create memories of nostalgia and play an actual release-ready game. The Ubisoft today is now filled with constant game release delays, followed by the release of unfinished games, high price tags for game copies, and copious amounts of pointless in-game microtransactions. I've witnessed one of my favorite companies turn from Ubisoft to Ubishit in a single decade (half of my time spent alive so far).a small hippocampus · 1256· 10mo ago · negative3
