“Insightful but Inconsistent”J.D. Vance’s Hillbilly Elegy offered a compelling look into the white working class, drawing from his own rise from hardship to Yale. However, his shift from Trump critic to ally feels opportunistic, and his divisive rhetoric on issues like abortion often lacks the empathy of his earlier work. While he connects with some on working-class struggles, his inconsistency undermines trust. Worth following for insight, but expect contradictions.2140 Podcast - Sam & Cerve · 1341· 1y ago · neutral45
