Along with being completely Bitcoin based. I really hope that Citrea will be the one that becomes that popular EVM L2 network on top of Bitcoin. Yes: there is Stucks (I think it's called that - I don't remember), but that network is a sidechain, and also Wasm.... And I want EVM.

The most important thing in a testnet is learning to use the ecosystem. From this perspective, Citrea has definitely designed a good testnet process. Lately, testnets requiring an invitation code have become a new trend. Frankly, this has both positive and negative aspects. Citrea, in line with this trend, introduced a testnet model requiring an invitation code. It's good for now, but they should be more careful with invitation codes and do their best to ensure that genuine testnet participants receive them.

thelostemperor · 1290· 9mo ago0“Citrea Mainnet”features on citrea native gas : use cBTC as the native gas token. trustless brigde : use the clementine bridge system to move BTC between layer 1 and layer 2 with minimal trust assumptions. scalability : enable thousands of transactions per second while keeping fees significantly lower than Bitcoin L1.
