From 17 activities · May 2026Founder of Towns, a blockchain-based community protocol. Central controversy centers on the $TOWNS airdrop: promised 10% of token supply to the community but delivered only 3%, with core contributors receiving minimal allocations and many users flagged as sybils without clear justification. Additional concerns include repeated launch delays, last-minute tokenomic changes, a malfunctioning airdrop checker, and lack of communication around distribution decisions. Some supporters credit integrity from earlier work with Invisible Friends and describe them as responsive and helpful, but the majority of recent activity characterizes the Towns launch as deceptive and damaging to community trust.

Received · 20Given · 5“Scammer and Manipulator”Coinbilly and Ben Rubin scammed the community by manipulating expectations - making big promises and then delivering complete nonsense with the $TOWNS launch. In the end, they rugged core contributors. At first, they promised 10% of the supply for a community airdrop - but in the end, the community got a pathetic 3%. The rest of the tokens were handed out just to get listed on Binance and prop up their bags as fast as possible. And we can see the result on the chart: a dump from $0.067 to $0.035 in just a few minutes. Clowns. I personally contributed to the project for over a year and ended up receiving just 14,500 $TOWNS (basically nothing). More details: https://x.com/krajekis/status/1952505343818289424

krajekis · 1206· 1y ago · negative18“Misled the community, wasted everyone’s time and money”A huge part of the community trusted his project — spent time, effort, and real money interacting with their protocol. Many joined expensive towns expecting fair rewards, only to end up getting dust. People farmed hard and stayed loyal, yet were declared ineligible without explanation. There was no transparency, no clear criteria, and zero communication. This wasn’t just a bad drop — it felt like a soft rugpull. Totally disrespected the trust of early users.

Andrei · 1263· 1y ago5“Salty GTM”yeah we are gonna talk about towns here lets go with to the facts: - core contributors got dusted with small (not even to break even) amount of tokens - airdrop dropped from 10% to 3% you have to be a bridge between the project and the community, but there is simply ZERO communication and he is waking up and writing good morning like nothing happene, not even a take on what have happened with the distribution bro, read a room

yankee · 1316· 1y ago · negative9“Founder who deceived his users”The founer of TOWNS, project which is something like Discord but in crypto. The concept and idea are interesting, but it feels like the market doesn’t really need this kind of product. Everyone will probably just keep using Discord because they’re used to it lol. There’s another important point, the team deceived their users and allocated a much smaller percentage of tokens for the airdrop than was initially announced. The constant delays and baits in CT about the snapshot were incredibly frustrating. And no I am not criticizing the team just because of their small airdrop. It genuinely feels like they are not here to bring anything valuable, meaningful or vibing to web3. They are here to make a quick profit by deceiving their users and giving a large portion of the tokens to people close to them.

Escanor · 1267· 1y ago · negative2“Good founder of good project”I see a lot of hate towards Billy and Towns, and I don’t think it’s fair. The Towns team built a solid project - they didn’t farm their community or make large numbers of people ineligible for the airdrop. They distributed it to many users, including some sybils. Billy has always been responsive and helpful. I’m voting positively for him!
