From 17 activities · May 2026Founder of Towns, a blockchain-based community protocol. Central controversy centers on the $TOWNS airdrop: promised 10% of token supply to the community but delivered only 3%, with core contributors receiving minimal allocations and many users flagged as sybils without clear justification. Additional concerns include repeated launch delays, last-minute tokenomic changes, a malfunctioning airdrop checker, and lack of communication around distribution decisions. Some supporters credit integrity from earlier work with Invisible Friends and describe them as responsive and helpful, but the majority of recent activity characterizes the Towns launch as deceptive and damaging to community trust.

Received · 20Given · 5“Leadership fractured by last-minute tokenomic pivot”As coinbilly’s final TGE plans unfolded in mid-July 2025 he quietly tacked on an extra 8 percent to circulating supply, chalking it up to “liquidity safeguards” and blindsiding everyone who believed 10 percent of tokens were reserved for the airdrop. His minimalist airdrop checker arrived in barebones form and then branded genuine contributors as sybils, slashing their allocations tenfold without any real justification. Between repeated launch delays, repurposed token pools, and rewritten docs that contradicted public screenshots, his actions showed a readiness to rewrite the rules whenever it suited him.

Danny · 1237· 1y ago12“Alucard pt.2”Coinbilly has earned his place as one of the most notorious scammers of 2025. As the person in charge of Towns, he sold the idea of a “Discord on Chain” that was supposed to revolutionize community building. In reality, Towns is slow, buggy, and lacks the essential features to even compete with Discord. Everything it offers could already be achieved through existing Discord plugins and bots, making the whole “on chain” pitch nothing more than a marketing hook. From launch, Coinbilly encouraged users to farm points on Towns, repeatedly hinting that these points would determine their token airdrop allocation. People spent time, effort, and money on fees to boost Towns’ metrics, making it more attractive to investors. But when it came time to reward them, Coinbilly flipped the rules. Without public warning, he made points a negative factor, the more you had, the less allocation you received, labeling active users as “farmers.” Meanwhile, the real allocation went to insiders, team members, and select NFT communities that hadn’t even used the protocol. This is not just bad faith, it’s calculated exploitation. The very people who put money into the protocol and helped it gain visibility were punished, while those with connections reaped the rewards. This isn’t mismanagement; it’s an abuse of power. And if the industry won’t hold people like Coinbilly accountable, then the community must.

Redox · 1435· 1y ago · negative12“10% -> 3%”I’ve been keeping an eye on Coinbilly_ for a while now, and while I can appreciate their ambition, I’m not convinced about their consistency. There’s been a lot of talk about big ideas, but when it comes to following through, Coinbilly_ doesn’t always deliver in the way they first promised. A key issue that stands out to me is the difference between the promised token distribution (10%) and the reality (only 3%). This kind of disconnect raises some doubts about their reliability. Coinbilly_ definitely has some marketing skills, but it often feels more like they’re trying to sell a narrative rather than provide tangible value. While there’s a lot of hype, the actual substance doesn’t quite live up to the promises made. This type of approach can be really effective in the short term, but it doesn’t inspire long-term trust for me. Another thing that stands out is Coinbilly_'s level of community interaction. It feels like there’s potential for more authentic engagement, but instead, their presence often seems sporadic. While they do check in with updates here and there, I’m left wondering if there’s enough genuine conversation happening. A more consistent and transparent approach could really help in building stronger trust.

bl888m · 1281· 1y ago · negative15“From Disappointment to Scam — Coinbilly's $TOWNS Disaster”Coinbilly just proved exactly how to ruin a launch. First, the $TOWNS airdrop allocation was slashed from 10% to a pathetic 3%, instantly killing any goodwill. Then the drop checker didn’t even work properly - and when it finally did, it showed an even bigger joke: people with huge point balances ended up getting the same amount of tokens as those with only 10–15k points. What’s the point of grinding if the rewards are random? Towns itself is pure trash - clunky, uninspired, and nowhere near replacing Discord (not now, not ever). And as for Coinbilly? Nothing but a scammer dressed up as a founder. This whole drop was a bait-and-switch from start to finish.

ValdeMURRR | $RSGP · 1278· 1y ago · negative11“The biggest scam of the year”I supported this person since the very creation of Towns, stayed super active, wrote articles on Medium, made posts on Telegram, brought in a huge number of people - every single point I earned was fair and square. Today, the project released a checker, and we saw that Billy shaved absolutely everyone from the top. Instead of distributing the promised 10% to the community, they gave out only 3% - and even that went to their own accounts and multi-account wallets. After all the waiting, all the faith in the project, and all the promises that "Community comes first", we got the biggest scam of the year. All the metrics, as well as huge amounts of money ($3.6M according to Billy), came thanks to us - from the commissions of our community that joined the towns. After earning 1,700,000 points and gathering around 5,000 people together, I got literally dust. Billy, just like the Towns project itself, simply shouldn’t exist in WEB3.

Easy · 1850· 1y ago44“Why CoinBilly earns my trust from Invisible Friends to Web3 Credibility”I first got to know CoinBilly through the Invisible Friends project, where he served as the Head of Stuff at Random Character Collective. To date, he has my full respect in Web3. During the first wave of NFTs, he stood out not just for his creativity but for his integrity and genuine values. That experience showed me who he is: a principled builder with a clear moral compass, someone you can rely on
