Token price collapsed from launch despite presale funding claims tied to Binance Labs. The team restricted their Twitter to approved followers, blocking critics, while allegedly manipulating prices on Gate Exchange and suspending inflows. Early participants report the points-to-tokens conversion required unexpected BNB gas fees, and the project went through multiple rebrands (Web3Go to DIN) with shifting mechanics like Gold Leaves farming and node sales that left long-term believers feeling misled.

“One of my first projects. One of my worst experiences”This was one of my first Web3 projects, and I was in it almost from the very beginning. I went through every phase firsthand: the original Web3Go era, the rebranding to DIN in May 2024, the Gold Leaves farming, the chip lottery system, the node sales, all of it. I stayed because I believed in the project. That was my mistake. The points-to-tokens conversion mechanic was where I realized what this project actually was. To convert accumulated points into DIN tokens, you had to pay BNB gas fees for each transaction on the BNB Chain. That alone wouldn't be a problem if the conversion was straightforward. But the platform deliberately capped how many points you could convert per transaction, which meant that converting a meaningful amount required multiple separate transactions and multiple separate fee payments. The more points you had, the more fees you paid. This wasn't an accident or a technical limitation. It was a deliberate design choice that benefited the platform every single time you clicked confirm. Fees went out of my wallet. Points trickled in slowly. The gamification layers were built on the same logic. Gold Leaves had to be burned for a chance to win access chips through a lottery. Chip parts required collecting 100 pieces to complete a full chip. Zealy campaign participants got 4,600 leaves automatically as a reward, which sounds generous until you realize the burn rates were calibrated to keep you engaged and spending. Every mechanic had a cost attached, and the cost was always on the user's side. On TGE day, February 14, 2025, the project announced that the founder Harold had gone missing for several hours and was reportedly unable to access the multi-signature wallet. The token launch proceeded on schedule anyway. That alone should have been a red flag large enough to see from space. The token hit its all-time high of $1.15 shortly after listing and has since dropped over 90% from that peak. My investments did not come close to breaking even. I ended the experience in the red. The project has since tried to recover trust: in May 2025, the team publicly abandoned 45% of their allocated token supply, which briefly caused a price surge as the market read it as a bullish signal for reduced sell pressure. A team abandoning their own tokens being treated as good news tells you everything about where confidence in this project actually stood. The GoPlus security analysis also flagged that the contract creator retains the ability to disable sells, change fees, and mint additional tokens, which is a level of centralized control that should make any holder uncomfortable.Mr. Viking · 1438· 4mo ago · negative141
