From 283 activities · Apr 2026ENS (Ethereum Name Service) is a foundational decentralized naming system that transforms long wallet addresses into simple, human-readable .eth names, making crypto transactions safer, easier, and more accessible. Users consistently praise it for eliminating copy-paste errors, enabling seamless integration across wallets and dApps, and providing true ownership of digital identity independent of centralized platforms. While widely recognized as essential Web3 infrastructure with strong community support and a notable airdrop history, some concerns have been raised about pricing decisions and domain renewal fees.

Received · 405Given · 0“My First Airdrop & Best Web3 Decision Yet”ENS was my first-ever airdrop, and it came with a twist — I had to buy a 4-character name, which wasn’t cheap. But I went for it anyway, and honestly, it turned out to be the best decision I’ve made in Web3. Owning an ENS name made me feel truly part of the ecosystem, and the airdrop was just the cherry on top. No regrets at all — only looking forward.

Serpin Taxt · 2000· 1y ago16“Early believer in ENS domains”ENS Domains makes crypto feel simple by turning those long wallet addresses into easy names like yourname.eth. It gives you an identity you truly own on Ethereum. Over time they have kept improving, even making it possible to sign up with just email or social login. I bought an ENS domain back in the early days and was lucky enough to get a decent airdrop from it which turned out to be one of my best moves in crypto.

Dev Ⓥ 🍃 $BNB $VET $TWT · 1414· 1y ago20“pioneering web3 identity”If you haven't heard of ENS, it was likely one of the first projects to successfully launch a Web3 identity solution. As one of the most valuable airdrops of 2021, ENS distributed more value than many protocols combined, which is a remarkable achievement. Having an identity instead of just a wallet address is incredibly helpful in the crypto space. Now I am seeing more and more protocols following behind ENS footsteps which they have set a good standard for.

Vicaversa · 1424· 1y ago19“Pioneer of the Domain”ENS is both a well-established and powerful project. It is also the first project in the ecosystem to take the first step in the domain field. Under its leadership, many different domain projects have emerged on various chains. It also gave us the best Airdrop era together with Uniswap and Dydx. It made many people happy with the support it gave to its early supporters. It has become my digital identity in Web3. It has provided reliability in P2P transactions.

kosher · 1284· 1y ago15“ENS — The Quiet Foundation of My Web3 Identity”I’ve used ENS for years, and it’s one of those things you only truly notice once it’s part of your daily Web3 life. It turns long, messy blockchain addresses into a simple name I can share anywhere — no copying, no typos. Since it’s on Ethereum, no one can touch it without my consent, which gives real peace of mind. The setup is quick, the tools integrate everywhere, and it quietly works in the background like solid infrastructure should. For me, ENS isn’t hype. It’s ownership, simplicity, and trust — all in one.

Still a key piece of history but tech-wise it's kinda lagging. Clusters looks way more advanced right now, cleaner design, better infra and more aligned with what the next wave actually needs
