From 283 activities · Apr 2026ENS (Ethereum Name Service) is a foundational decentralized naming system that transforms long wallet addresses into simple, human-readable .eth names, making crypto transactions safer, easier, and more accessible. Users consistently praise it for eliminating copy-paste errors, enabling seamless integration across wallets and dApps, and providing true ownership of digital identity independent of centralized platforms. While widely recognized as essential Web3 infrastructure with strong community support and a notable airdrop history, some concerns have been raised about pricing decisions and domain renewal fees.

Rich · 1220· 1y ago12“ENS Is a Game Changer for Web3”ENS was one of the first real wins in Web3 turning long messy wallet addresses into simple names like yournameeth it just makes everything easier and honestly feels right it’s clean it works everywhere and it takes the stress out of sending crypto I’ve used mine for sending tokens linking my profile and building my onchain identity and it’s been smooth every time what makes it special is how it’s community driven and built with care by a team that actually understands users ENS isn’t hype it’s useful real and part of what makes Ethereum feel alive if you’re in Web3 it’s something worth having period

Hoseinshirkhani · 1266· 1y ago15“Never remember an address again”Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a decentralized system that simplifies the use of the Ethereum blockchain by transforming complex addresses into readable .eth domains. It's like going to google.com and finding the website instead of having to remember the server's IP address. ENS does the same thing with wallets: instead of sending money to someone by typing their address, you can use their ENS. This helps avoid errors and also makes sharing your address with others easier. It's the perfect service for the Web3 world.

Andrea Falcon · 1338· 1y ago15“Great Form Of Digital Identity”ENS was a great idea being able to label your Eth wallets and making transactions more simplified. I don't know much beyond that but I do have my own ENS and love to use it.

adamdawson.eth 🇦🇺 · 1338· 1y ago37“The name that finally made crypto feel human”NS was one of the first Web3 tools that actually made my life easier, not harder - and in crypto, that already puts it in rare company. I still remember how ridiculous it felt sending funds to long, ugly wallet strings. The first time I used my ENS name instead, it genuinely felt like the moment emails replaced IP addresses: suddenly the whole experience had a layer of humanity. For me, ENS became this quiet, everyday utility. I use it when I onboard friends, when I send payments, when I sign up for dApps… it’s the one identifier that follows me everywhere in the Ethereum world. And during the airdrop days, everyone around me got this unexpected “thank you for being early,” which added to the feeling that ENS actually cared about its community. Is it perfect? No - renewing can be a bit annoying, and I wish gas didn’t sometimes make me think twice. But the product itself is rock solid. It’s simple, reliable, and it solves a problem every single user eventually runs into: identity you can actually remember. In a sea of over-engineered crypto experiments, ENS is one of the few that feels inevitable. Every cycle, I appreciate it even more, because good ideas age well - and ENS is one of the best we’ve got.

Mihail Pochekai · 1432· 11mo ago21“Solid Protocol”If this is the real profile for ENS domain name services, then hell yeah I trust them! 😆 When they went live, I was still fairly new to the decentralized world of crypto...but I was fortunate enough to have minted my own ENS name (and set myself as the owner or resolver or whatever it was) before the snapshot and got an airdrop that was worth about $6k! Unfortunatley, I did lose a huge chunk on a failed tx trying to sell part of the allocation hahaha there were no L2s back then and it was EXPENSIVE as hell to transact on Eth mainnet when it was congested. So I had to burn more eth on the 2nd tx lol. Yeah, still though, I love my eth name and still use it to this day. I have it renewed out to 2031 lol

33ethereum · 1441· 1y ago21“One of Crypto's True MVPs”Among a tide of crypto buzz, ENS (Ethereum Name Service) is one of those scarce initiatives that truly benefits everyone providing actual value to the society by exchanging basic .eth names like jduty.eth for ugly Ethereum addresses. By reducing mistakes and supercharging Web3 adoption, it makes transactions quicker, more secure, and much more approachable. With that legendary 2021 airdrop, they perfectly satisfied the community, rewarding early backers and maintaining everyone involved via a booming DAO. And they have remained laser focused on the core of cryptocurrency: actual decentralization with no centralized garbage.

jduty · 1306· 1y ago14“One of the most useful tech in crypto”ENS is one of the most useful and practical applications in crypto, Having a human-readable name that links directly to your wallet or dapp interactions is such a simple but powerful idea, and it’s something the industry really needed. Sure, domains are still relatively expensive, almost like a luxury item for now, which keeps them from becoming fully mainstream. But when you zoom out, ENS works it’s reliable, widely adopted, and actually used in everyday crypto life. That’s rare to say about most projects. The fact that people identify with their ENS names as part of their on-chain identity just proves how strong this use case is.
