From 283 activities · Apr 2026ENS (Ethereum Name Service) is a foundational decentralized naming system that transforms long wallet addresses into simple, human-readable .eth names, making crypto transactions safer, easier, and more accessible. Users consistently praise it for eliminating copy-paste errors, enabling seamless integration across wallets and dApps, and providing true ownership of digital identity independent of centralized platforms. While widely recognized as essential Web3 infrastructure with strong community support and a notable airdrop history, some concerns have been raised about pricing decisions and domain renewal fees.

iFruitz · 1402· 1y ago19“Against sybils”ENS is a very cool technology that links your nickname to your address. With ENS names, you can also fight sibyls so that faucets only give out test ether with ENS, ether transactions, and balance. This way, we will reduce the number of people who farm testnets on tens of thousands of wallets using scripts.

DiFors · 1371· 1y ago19“Naming the Web, One Dot at a Time”If you’ve ever hung out in a late-night Discord chat about Web3 identity, you’ve probably heard @ensdomains dropped like it’s gospel. They’re the go to when it comes to decentralized naming systems always shipping updates, sharing insights, and keeping the ENS community tight and transparent. Whether it's ecosystem upgrades or subtle hints about what's next, their tweets feel like insider alpha without the hype. Solid follow if you're serious about owning your digital name.

It simplifies working with wallet addresses, makes dApp interactions more intuitive, and helps users avoid dealing with long hashes. Many people use ENS without even thinking about it, which shows how valuable it truly is. A reliable technology trusted by time and community.

Senya · 1268· 1y ago19“The way to add humanity to crypto”I like ENS because it makes Ethereum addresses easy. It works well for sending and receiving funds + many apps already support it. The only problem is that the good names are taken fast, so you have to be creative sometimes. Overall, it’s one of the tools I really use in my daily life.

Ronald.hl · 1406· 1y ago19“The only Web3 identity that actually stuck”ENS is probably the most used thing in my wallet that I don’t even think about anymore. Just feels natural. Sending ETH to a name instead of a hex string? Obvious upgrade. Got my first .eth back in the bull, and it still feels like one of the few NFTs that actually does something. Works across apps, shows up in wallets, and people recognize it. Feels like Web3’s version of a Twitter @ - short, simple, portable. Not flashy, just essential.

Their recent updates, like joining the Project Liberty Alliance or rolling out one-click name registration with Para, have me stoked about how they’re making Web3 accessible.

Built by Ethereum pioneers, this platform offers decentralized, censorship-resistant names that make navigating the multichain world a breeze. They’re all about .eth names, which you can spot in action on platforms like Uniswap, OpenSea, and Etherscan. It’s super cool to see how they’re pushing the boundaries of decentralized identity.

MoonTrader · 1446· 1y ago19“Your Ethereum Identity”Your ENS domain is your on-chain identity, at a relatively low cost makes your evm address stand out from the crowd, whether your name is 'ethos.eth' or 'hpos10i-holder.eth' or '1239189e210abc.eth'. Also it makes it easier to use etherscan if you don't have name tags for the addresses and to transfer eth/coins to the address with ens name.

Points of use and benefits:”The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) allows users to interact with their Ethereum addresses, making things easier for users in many ways and increasing the accessibility of blockchain technology. That's why it was definitely the first name service I registered with. Its complete decentralization and trustworthiness encourage people to use it. It also enables users on different platforms to leverage blockchain technology to create versatile solutions. Furthermore, it facilitates democratic and transparent business development by enabling users within the system to participate in ENS governance. For these reasons, the use of ENS should be strongly encouraged; it's a best practice as a component of blockchain technology!
