Farcaster is a decentralized social protocol built on Base and Ethereum that emphasizes portable identity, on-chain ownership, and builder culture. The platform is praised for its clean UX, Frames (interactive posts), integrated wallet, and genuine community focused on real conversations rather than clout-chasing—often described as crypto Twitter done right. However, adoption remains a persistent challenge: monthly active users peaked around 80,000 in mid-2024 but collapsed to under 20,000 by late 2025, with critics noting it has failed to break out of the crypto bubble despite strong technology and funding. While early users and developers remain bullish on its potential and ecosystem of mini-apps, concerns persist about sustainability, moderation inconsistencies, and whether the platform can ever compete with X for mainstream attention.

“Crypto Messaging App”I created my Farcaster account early last year. It was a great decision for me. I like all features on it — the mini apps, tip, cast, recast and other fun activities on the app. I played a game on the app few days ago. It’s connected to my base app.

“Great App”I love the fact that it feels entirely like a web2 app.

“Why do we pick up the phone?”The account actively invites developers to build on the Farcaster protocol. It promotes the idea that anyone can sign up, create apps, and interact with the network without intermediaries. Highlights changes in the platform (such as new features in Warpcast, the main client). Shares user-generated content, events, and conversations happening in the Farcaster community. The Farcaster X account operates as both brand storyteller and ecosystem evangelist. It effectively communicates the platform’s principles, showcases its developer-friendly nature, and reinforces its identity as a decentralized social network. While its audience is largely Web3-savvy, the tone remains approachable enough to attract curious newcomers.

“Farcaster - For The Creators”Farcaster is an alternate of Twitter imo. They are ungrading their stuffs timely, it's a good platform for the content creators. But the down side of this is that they still need to do many works to beat the twitter. I have used the platfrom multiple time but it did not interest me that tbh.

“One day this gem will be found 💎”The perseverance and professionalism of the team is mind blowing. I've never seen a team so dedicated to their cause. With a good team any product will become a gem but if the team is weak the good product will be ruined. This social network technically bypasses all its competitors but there are very few active users. Maybe because it's too complicated for the inexperienced. Or maybe it is not attractive for web2 users. In any case I'm sure that if the team does not give up, it will be a great success. Subscribe to my farcaster at the link in my ethos profile

“A glimpse into decentralized social interaction which I like”Farcaster is rapidly gaining traction as a compelling alternative to traditional social media, offering a decentralized and crypto native experience that prioritizes user control and community engagement. Its integration with Warpcast provides a seamless and fast interface, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of dApps and social experiments(like mini apps). While some users acknowledge its current focus on developers and the Base network, the platform's commitment to on chain identity, spam prevention through paid registration, and innovative features like Frames, positions it as a significant player in shaping the future of online interaction within Web3. It's a space where genuine connection and content creation are encouraged, moving beyond the noise of conventional platforms which I trly like alot!

“Feels like home for crypto conversations.”Since we need to pay to create an account in Farcaster, it has very low probability to being attacked by scammers. It's not just another Twitter clone, the vibe is different. Conversations are more thoughtful, less noisy, and the community is very crypto-native. You can tell people here actually build, test, and care about decentralization. Also, their ongoing weekly airdrop program is quite impressive too.

“great tech”Since X is getting more divisive, maybe this platform could give content creators a more decentralized, crypto-focused option.
