Farcaster is a decentralized social protocol built on Base and Ethereum that emphasizes portable identity, on-chain ownership, and builder culture. The platform is praised for its clean UX, Frames (interactive posts), integrated wallet, and genuine community focused on real conversations rather than clout-chasing—often described as crypto Twitter done right. However, adoption remains a persistent challenge: monthly active users peaked around 80,000 in mid-2024 but collapsed to under 20,000 by late 2025, with critics noting it has failed to break out of the crypto bubble despite strong technology and funding. While early users and developers remain bullish on its potential and ecosystem of mini-apps, concerns persist about sustainability, moderation inconsistencies, and whether the platform can ever compete with X for mainstream attention.

“Farcaster changing to wallet focused app”Farcaster tried and tested a lot of stuff and innovated a lot of things yet no traction in terms of growth. They focsed on CT now breaking out of it seems impossible and those features web2 never needed. I hope they had better plan. Still i am sure whatever they are pivoting into will do good and will be useful to web3.

“Favorited Social Media”Farcaster has quickly become one of my favorite platforms. The experience feels clean, fast, and genuinely community-driven. The conversations are higher quality, the vibes are positive, and everything feels more transparent compared to traditional social networks. The developers keep improving the ecosystem, and new apps and frames pop up every day, making it even more fun to use.

“great potential to come”I use Farcaster, and this social networking tool is growing rapidly. I can find my contacts there, and we share information and cool mini-apps. I appreciate it more and more; I'm looking forward to the next UI/UX update.

“Solid decentralized social network”Saw lots of good reviews from people using it, decided to try myself and no regrets. Really works without censorship and bans like regular social media. Reputation is transparent, you can see right away who to trust. Interface is simple, figured it out in a couple minutes. Community is decent, lots of interesting people from crypto and beyond. Overall if you're tired of twitter and other platforms where they can ban you for anything, this is a good alternative.

“The Rise, the Cooldown, and the Comeback of Farcaster”I was around during the Farcaster hype, not day-one early, but definitely there in the middle of the DEGEN euphoria. Back when everyone was farming like crazy and the timeline was pure chaos. I still remember when the devs had to introduce geo-bans and even a registration fee just to slow down the farmers (those were wild times ngl). After the DEGEN wave cooled off, the app went quiet and chill for a while… and now with BASE announcing its token, people are starting to flood back again. Luckily it’s not as overcrowded as before, just enough activity to feel alive again. Now that Farcaster has another moment in the spotlight, I really hope they use this momentum to level up the platform and give people a reason to stick around long-term. The potential here is huge, there’s so much it could unlock if they play it right. So until that happen, I will keep the review neutral.

“One of the best Crypto focus social network platform!”Farcaster has encouraged too much creativities since its launch. It's a place for easy building applications, on-chain games and Crypto related networking. In addition, I think it is one of the most untouched platforms so far that we still need to pay attention and discover its opportunities!

“Linkedin, but make it crypto.”it's one of the many apps built for and on base where creators can share what they find fascinating and interesting and also build a community. only problem is, it's been turned into a platform where CT postures and do all that they do just in hopes for an airdrop. regardless, it's a pretty slick app all through that merges blockchain with social activities giving you an avenue to get paid for contents (called casts).

“Solid app”A sufficiently decentralized social network. I've been enjoying this application lately and having a good time using it. The games included are consistently successful and very fun to play, which makes the app enjoyable overall.

“Refreshing Take on Social Networking”I’ve been really excited to follow this account it’s amazing how they’re building a space where I actually feel in control of my online presence. The idea of posting casts and exploring mini apps feels so fresh, and the community vibe is welcoming and full of energy.I’m loving the journey so far, and I’d totally encourage others to jump in and see what it’s about

““Feels Like the Social Layer We’ve Been Waiting For””I’ve been using Farcaster daily, and honestly, it feels refreshing compared to traditional platforms. The UI is smooth, the community is genuinely engaged, and the onchain rate limits really help keep spam away. What stands out most is the builder culture new Frames, clients, and experiments appear almost every week, which makes it feel alive. Still early days, but the foundation is strong
