From 535 activities · Apr 2026Farcaster is a decentralized social protocol built on Base that emphasizes user ownership of identity, portable accounts across clients, and an ecosystem of mini-apps and Frames. Praised for its clean interface, genuine community of builders, on-chain wallet integration, and high-signal conversations compared to traditional platforms, it has cultivated a loyal crypto-native audience. However, it faces persistent challenges with user adoption—monthly active users peaked around 80,000 in mid-2024 before collapsing to under 20,000 by late 2025—and struggles to compete with X despite strong technical infrastructure and backing. Concerns include questions about long-term sustainability, moderation controversies, accusations of favoritism, and recent strategic pivots that have raised doubts about the project's core vision.

Многие интресные проекты, не связанные с Base тоже создают аккаунты в Farcaster. Я подписан, например, на Plume и 0g Labs. Сам я не фанат соцсетей, поэтому не поддерживаю активность в них и Farcaster тоже не исключение.

Soli · 1296· 11mo ago10“A Game-changer social platform”I'd never thought a social platform could change my life, but Farcaster did. Back in April 2024, I took my first step into web 3 world by joining Farcaster. My boyfriend invited me to join and since then it's been my happy place, ngl. If you're a crypyo guy and looking for a decentralized social platform, it's the right place for you. Oh, and what's interesting, I didn't have a single day experience in crypto and joined as an artist with zero knowledge about crypto and NFT. Yet, soon I made valuable supportive friendships that felt like a family. Thanks Dan Romero and his team at Farcaster, I’ve made a fair amount of money, built valuable connections, and now I’m ready to release my first NFT collection.

Its current state is even more compelling: it offers censorship resistance, user data control, and seamless wallet integration. However, its open nature leads to unresolved bot/spam issues and complexity that hinders new user adoption. Despite these flaws, the platform suits people like me, so I will continue to support it

“Farcaster feels different”I’ve been deep into Farcaster lately, and it’s one of the few platforms in Web3 that truly feels fresh. The structure is familiar enough to feel natural, but the experience is cleaner, more authentic, and way less noisy. The mobile app flows smoothly, the conversations feel real, and the community actually shows up because they want to build — not farm clout. The Pro launch and early airdrop only amplified the excitement, but what really stands out is the culture: open, curious, and driven. Farcaster isn’t trying to be loud; it’s just doing the right things, consistently. And that’s why it works.

Akash shrikul · 1264· 12mo ago10“You're Free on Farcaster”Farcaster tops the list of platforms where I can truly express myself freely. On X, we're constantly dealing with account verifications because of Elon Musk's rules, always second-guessing what we post out of fear our accounts might get suspended. It feels like a form of censorship. I’m okay with censorship when it’s ethically justified, but on X, we sometimes face blocks for no apparent reason. In Farcaster, though, we can speak our minds without that fear. Plus, Web3 is always better than Web2!
