Received · 2Given · 0“From Reselling Consoles to Building Sign: The Relentless Journey of Builder Jack”Jack is the co-founder and CTO of Sign—a rare kind of builder who brings both deep technical understanding and hands-on execution to the table. He entered the crypto space in 2017 by buying Bitcoin at its peak. While many exited after the downturn, Jack leaned in. His curiosity pushed him to study cryptography and smart contracts, eventually leading him to meet co-founder Potter through a blockchain course. With no funding and no formal setup—just a shared conviction and nightly Zoom calls—they began building what would later become Sign. In Sign’s earliest days, Jack didn’t just write code—he shouldered real operational burdens. At one point, he resold over 30 game consoles to cover engineering costs. His approach has always been the same: take ownership, work with what you have, and move forward. Now on its fifth major version, Sign continues to benefit from Jack’s steady technical leadership as he dives deeper into zero-knowledge circuits and pushes product boundaries from the ground up. Jack is also the creator of TokenTable, one of Sign’s core products—built from scratch and maintained with care. He’s known for his quiet discipline, building more than he talks. What sets him apart isn’t just his technical range, but the way he shows up: consistent, thoughtful, and humble. He often credits luck for much of his journey—an attitude that reflects the kind of grounded leadership Naomi, and many others, deeply admire. Jack is someone who deserves to be known by many more. 👀🧡
