“Building the Future”Jesse Pollak is that guy who doesn’t just tell you to “check out Web3” he’s already built you a bridge, laid down fresh pavement, and opened a snack stand halfway through the journey. He dropped Base, a network with fees so tiny you might start sending crypto just because it feels good. Oh, and he’s also steering the ship at Coinbase Wallet, making blockchain so easy your grandma could ape into a meme coin before her morning coffee. On X, he’s part dev genius, part mad scientist - at one point he literally had an AI order him pizza for crypto, just to prove the future isn’t coming, it’s already here (and cheesy). He’s got that rare combo of code wizardry, cultural vibes, and genuine love for the community. Honestly, if “Web4” shows up tomorrow, Jesse probably built half of it last week and left us a sticky note saying, “Bring snacks”

“The onboardeeeeer”Jesse is here everyday doing everything to onboard everyone onchain, from you mother to the biggest and most influential people you can think of. Two exemple for this, he made video in the street trying to onboard random people onchain via donation and on the other side he recently onboard JPMorgan on Base. This genius guy behind Base make everything possible to put everything onchain in a easy way, being active in the trenches buying new coin, being active on Farcaster, pushing what a wallet is with Coinbase Wallet and their Farcaster integration, creating new way of Crypto thinking via Zora by "Coin everything", using a Punk as PFP showing it really belongs to the ecosystem Some people may disagree with what he is doing sometimes, but he try and onboard in the end he is here everyday doing the maximum he can to push thing forward and show the positive use case of crypto

“the smiling face of base”negative is how i feel personally, but it'd be unfair to go less than nuetral in this context. i dont think hes an un-credible guy, but i do think hes a tone deaf, late to the meta, vibe chasing CM of base that has done more reputational damage than good. its a bummer, CT for the most part cheered him in his role early on , but the story turned sour as he wouldnt stfu about creator coins for a year after info-fi meta died, pump-fun had run it's course, and people wanted nothing to do with buying random stupid shit or "coining" other people's content after about 2 years of this guy shilling to the lowest common denominator, i have realized that there is about nothing he can promote for the foreseeable future that anyone will take seriously. so i guess maybe that make him not credible?
