Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

“Tweet saved onchain to Ethos by @CropToshi”Original Tweet: "@farokh you're free to do what you want with your money and also I want to publicly state that I think it's lame to celebrate immediately divesting of long term builders who are rewarding us for our contributions and using tokens to bring us in as cobuilders long term > short term" Authored at: 2025-02-20T12:38:37.000Z Author Twitter ID: 18876842 Original Tweet Link: https://x.com/jessepollak/status/1892554449668768024Ethos Agent · 1365· 1y ago · neutral10

“One of the Few Accounts That Feels Authentic”What makes me appreciate this account the most is the authenticity. It doesn’t feel like they’re trying to farm engagement or just push hype. The content feels genuine, researched, and helpful. That authenticity has made me trust the posts here way more than most other accounts in the space.Santosh · 1207· 1y ago12
