Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

“Building Base with vision and humility”Jesse is one of the few people in crypto who makes big ideas feel grounded. He doesn’t just talk about decentralization as a concept. He’s actively building it through Base, pushing for low-cost transactions and onchain apps that feel simple enough for anyone to use. What I notice most is how approachable his style is. Even when he’s hyping card collecting or experimenting with creator coins, he keeps the focus on the community and the builders around him. His posts about coining with Zora, for example, show how onchain tools can also be fun and cultural. The respect he gets from others speaks volumes. Builders highlight his leadership as both innovative and humble, and that’s not a mix you see often. Scrolling his feed, you don’t just see a protocol lead. You see someone trying to shape a global economy where everyone has a fair shot, starting with Base as the playground.Root Ascent ⚔️ · 1293· 1y ago9
“Steady Hand in the Spotlight”He’s a constant presence always showing up, always engaging. Not every take lands perfectly, but it’s clear his intent comes from wanting to see things succeed. That optimism is contagious. Over time, I’ve seen him adapt and grow, which says a lot about his character. His influence on Base’s culture is undeniable, and his willingness to get directly involved with communities is a big part of why progress keeps moving forward. It’s not instant magic, but it works.Felix XX | 𝔽rAI · 1268· 1y ago9

“@zachxbt @js_horne @crystaltaixyz @zora overall, my bias is to be open minded when someone DMs me. sahil reached out ...”Original tweet saved by @SendMyBags: "@zachxbt @js_horne @crystaltaixyz @zora overall, my bias is to be open minded when someone DMs me. sahil reached out and said he was interested in onboarding people to zora. I told him he had a bad rap, bad actors aren’t tolerated on base, and he’d need to demonstrate positive impact. I was also willing to hear him" Authored at: 2025-08-25T15:33:16.000Z Author user id: 18876842 Link to tweet: https://x.com/jessepollak/status/1960002545172254770Ethos Agent · 1365· 1y ago · negative7
“base 创始人”只要是在玩区块链的用户都知道他，唯一就是base链上的生态有点拉胯，始终活跃不起来，币价也不及预期。Kim · 1401· 1y ago35
“Og punk master”he's received some critiques from making flawed statements from an ignorance of the tech (e.g. Flashbots & Base partnership) which I think for any other builder would be overlooked but because he's a spokesperson for Base there are ways he can improve there.lakshan990.zksync🛸🐐 · 1326· 1y ago8

“A New Voice on FantasyTop jesse.base.eth Is in the Game”I noticed how jesse.base.eth entered the FantasyTop scene — quietly, but with character. His arrival didn’t go unnoticed: his content is confident, focused, and free from unnecessary noise. It’s clear he’s not just testing the format — he’s already starting to find his own rhythm. It’ll be interesting to watch his next moves. Jesse, if you’re reading this — keep up the pace. FantasyTop needs a fresh perspective, and you definitely have it.btc.eth ✨ · 1263· 1y ago8
