From 253 activities · Apr 2026Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

and 9 more“the heart of base”jesse really feels different from most people in this space. he shows up every day, supports both creators and new users, and even went out to the streets just to promote base. honestly, without his energy and effort, base wouldn’t be what it is today. he’s genuine, consistent, and that’s why people respect him so much

blvckishh · 1328· 1y ago12“Base Founder”Jesse Pollak is one of those rare people in crypto who not only has ideas but actually builds things. He created Base and turned it into one of the top L2s - simple, useful, and made for real users. P.S. I wrote my opinion about Jesse, and it's positive, because this man created the network that we use every day.
