“Founder of THORChain”JP Thor is one of the project's founders, and a key public figure in the community. He used to be anonymous under various names, but in 2024 he doxxed himself and has become even more active since then. In a community focused on privacy, he is naturally a respected person. Fun fact: his name is Jean-Paul Thorbjornsen (I'm mentioning this because he revealed it himself). Previously, he was behind the co-founding of [CanYa](https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/canyacoin) (another crypto project from 2017). They organized an ICO and raised 11,000 ETH. Essentially, the project aimed to become a crypto analag to Upwork. It didn't last long, having run into some legal issues. Those were tough times for crypto.
