“EVM Visionary”I was introduced to Monad sometimes last year. A friend actually told me - 'Are you aware about Monad? I read they are trying to address the blockchain trilemma'. I was uncertain at first because couple of blockchain that tried to address the trilemma had to trade-off one characteristic to strengthen the other. I made my research about Monad and that was the first time I came across Keone. A lead engineer at Jump Trading with background in low-latency, high-frequency trading infrastructure. Then I kind of understand the point of view where Monad is coming from. Getting to know more about his personality as well as a founder has been a great insight for me. In an order of the day where most founders tend to over-promised and under-deliver - Keone and his team is doing the opposite by promising little and delivering overly.

“Could have been better re how Monad airdrop was distributed”Won't deny that Keone is probably a force for change and his feed tries to take a genuine approach and lighthearted and is technically skilled too Sure guess Keone likes to spread his legs? But a post he made (https://x.com/keoneHD/status/1963075066020679952) really triggered negative sentiment in me along with the monad airdrop (yes full disclosure I was ineligible for the drop) The post reminded me that speed of the chain isn't the most imperative, monad taking different route, taken 3 years. Yet somehow with all these years in development and people following monad, it feels like monad and as an extension Keone found a way to sideline users who had been interested in monad for a long time; who had used the testnet (yes there was no mention of incentives but point still stands). Then monad drop is rewarded to a whole range of non-monad aligned ppl - including whales from defi (fine) and people who were chosen to get monad cards (some of whom don't even care about monad!) It really left bad impression on me. Sorry. All the best for monad but man, sigh.
