“A disaster...”While the project was initially meant to launch on base, it ended up launching on solana. Presale started around January. TGE was meant to happen in February -> TGE kept getting postponed and happened in May. Net trading volume as of this second... is 30$. Presale buyers are currently in the negative. Clueless team had no proper sybil protection, ended up requiring a lot of unnecessary personal data to get early access (which gave token allocation to people for signing up): 1) A large % of farmers bypassed the crappy anti-sybil implementation via fake credentials (because they have hordes of accounts and numbers to sign up and farm with) 2) Non-sybil accounts aka real users unnecessarily gave access to their personal information. YIKES! I spoke to the founder (End) about the data and connections they require for their 'sybil protection' which was easily bypassed by farmers using fake accs - but required real people to give up their actual personal data. The reply was "nah i get it.i dont want people finding out im a girl larping as a male cat" 🤡 After flaming the team on twitter they finally implemented Human Passport (previously Gitcoin Passport), but it was too late and most bots dumped their early access allocation the moment TGE happened. Real users followed. Here you can see a gain of ~127k 'users' (bots) in a week: https://x.com/badboykrys/status/1919437336321941809 There is an overlap between Edenlayer and KPR NFT project - it's the same team + Felix Norden from NeoTokyo. KPR is running out of runway, and the team bet everything on Edenlayer and their partnered activation called "new eden dreams". I previously spoke with the team about having an activation and something to do with the token ready on launch... a month post TGE and there is nothing. Which is ultra bad considering they did their presale in January, kept postponing TGE due to market conditions, did their TGE in May on a different chain - and still have 0 usability for their token even though they had plenty of extra time due to postponing TGE due to market conditions. The sell pressure for the token would have been lower, if they had a proper anti sybil implementation and people would be aware that there might be demand and usability for the token within KPR activations - but Edenlayer was scared that KPR affiliation will hurt EL, so they didn't even market their affiliation properly. Considering it's the same team - LOL KPR holders were meant to get allocations based on their citizenship score (points for holding NFTs), but since the TGE didn't happen on EVM - users had to manually apply to get their tokens on solana. Some people waited over a week post TGE to actually get their allocations. On top of that, the team didn't even bother to register their own brandnames (edenlayer.eth/edenlayer.sol/kpr.eth) - they didn't deem it to be necessary. Imho web3 teams who don't see the value in owning their brand are a huge red flag. Especially since EL is doing AI agents, and subdomains would be the perfect fit for them. Very shortsighted. The team is clueless and can't even see that those 5$/year for ENS and 20$ for SNS would have had immense value. The failure of Edenlayer means the failure of KPR once their runway ends. Considering the execution seen in both KPR and EL - failure is imminent unless they pull off a miracle. Which is highly unlikely.on Edenlayer · 1212· 1y ago · negative29
“AI slop hit and run”I randomly got reviewed with AI slop analysis by this account. The review was already archived by the time I saw it. https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/715542/solid-builder-bullish-on-this-one What's up with the AI slop hit and run? 😹 That's certainly a first LOL All the other reviews are slop as well. Skorp gave a neutral review for it here: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/715546/ai-generated-slop-reviews 9 minutes later it was acknowledged by the author in replies: >Fair point. I appreciate the honest feedback and I’ll do better next time. After seeing that I usually wouldn't have bothered with reviewing if not for the fact that I saw the author write another slop analysis review 3 minutes after saying they will do better... https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/715547/established-professional-with-99-8k-xp-100-positive-trust Sigh... Stop the slop... Looking closer one can see that another profile invited by this user is slopping away as well. Not with AI slop, but with worthless 1-2 word title reviews with no other text: https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/sabuj31273?activities=given The cherry on top? The review left by this account, titled [“SF Sabuj is a genuine”](https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/715533/sf-sabuj-is-a-genuine) and including "He maintains good communication" 💀 Looking at their reviews, which I linked above, that statement certainly doesn't seem to be true 😹 Both types of slop are awful and provide zero value for others using the platform. “Sybil”"BadutCrypto" and "WhenJpbase.eth" caught my eye with the Cobie reviews. “inflating score/reputation via review incentives”Reward incentives will always skew the opinion and make it tilt towards being positive because the users expect a reward - and the platforms offering incentives obviously don't give out rewards expecting negative reviews. It's kinda like a known secret that you get X for X. In this case, a reward for positive reviews and vouches. There is an influx of new positive vibestarter reviews, and people coming back to ethos after months just to leave positive vibestarter reviews. Some users don't even bother making legitimately looking reviews, as is the case with sullivan just copying the top review left by Serpin. See here: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/700709/positive-on-their-journey This is just a copy of one of the top reviews (by Serpin) https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/693056/cyphr-is-a-legit-dev-maybe-misunderstood-practices Or this one. It's just a positive review that says "Review" and nothing else: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/700695/review Vibestarter review/vouch incentives are meant to inflate their reputation. The incentives push users to leave positive reviews. Some users came back to ethos after a longer time, purely to leave a positive review for vibestarter. Some people don't even bother putting the lowest form effort into it; they aren't even trying to make it seem like a real review. They only review the project positively because of the incentives. Imho that's highly problematic because those incentives skew the ACTUAL reputation quite a lot. I really dislike that form of reputation farming.on Vibestarter · 1570· 6mo ago · negative26
“grift that extracted mid 8 figures”This review ties to two other reviews - for the founders of Yat Labs (as well as Tari Labs) The review for fluffypony: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/699045/privacy-advocate-who-was-compromised-due-to-embezzling-cookie-money-awful-work~ The review for Naveen: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/699053/awful-work-ethic-and-a-long-history-of-grifting-extracted-mid-8-figures I was a Sr. CM for Yat Labs 2021-2023. This project extracted double digit millions (mid 8 figures) from it's community. The founders used to advertise features they never intended to develop - it was just a way to temporarily boost sales. They also partnered with 888 and on the "Realms" rug. The sale planned for 8888 NFTs to be sold @ 0.0888 ETH (280 USD on that day). A full sale would have yielded 2.488.640 USD (789 ETH). The number of Yat Realms sold - 1506 items for $421.680 (133 ETH) 888 claims Yat took the money and never delivered. Yat claims 888 took the money and never delivered. Where did the 400k go? It magically disappeared. Poof! Just like the double digit millions Yat Labs magically disappeared without actually developing their product. Yat did an AMA at some point, and Naveen basically said something along the lines of: "Not every partnership is about money. That's why we partnered with someone for a $2.5 million dollar mint and promised to deliver utility from our end without actually expecting any money, DUH!" 😹 This is slightly paraphrased, but he basically said this. A screenshot of the real quote from the AMA is in the twitter thread below. Once the community got tired of their grift patterns, they tried to grift partnership money via their "Yat Fantasy" paper trading game. The game got hit with massive amounts of botted users and they were seriously considering to use the fake player numbers to show how much engagement they are getting. Until I called them out and provided screenshots of all the "real user" bot profiles. At that point they had to nuke them, and I guess they got salty about it because they couldn't show fake metrics to potential partners. At this point I'm still unsure if it was some random player creating thousands of accounts, or if they did it themselves 💀 Based on everything else that went down at Yat Labs - it's very likely they wanted to inflate those numbers to have better metrics for grifting partnerships. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Enjoy this ~9000 character rant that airs out some of the sketchy behavior around Riccardo (aka fluffypony) and Naveen - as well as their companies Yat Labs and Tari Labs + their sketchy partner 888: https://x.com/miyaspokeofthis/status/2039862230108242107 My only advice, after being a Sr. CM for Yat for quite a while: Avoid Yat Labs. Avoid Tari Labs. Avoid anything fluffy or Naveen are involved in. Avoid anything the VCs who invested in Tari/Yat are involved in. Avoid any of their partners, especially anyone who is also involved with 888. None of these people have any ethics. They don't give a shit about their community or their product. They only care about extracting money and nothing else...on Yat 🖖 · 1275· 7mo ago · negative26
“awful work ethic and a long history of grifting (extracted mid 8 figures)”This guy extracted mid 8 figures out of his "Yat Labs" community. I was a Sr. CM for Yat Labs 2021-2023. I know how Naveen treats his community. I know all the grifting he did. He literally extracted mid 8 figures (double digit millions!) through Yat Labs without ever delivering 99% of the things that were promised. Naveen, as well as fluffypony, are behind Tari Labs and Yat Labs. Yat Labs was a massive grift that extracted MID 8 FIGURES (!!!) via fake advertising and never delivering promised features. They just used feature promo to temporarily boost sales, without ever planning to release any of those advertised features. The 888 x Yat "Realm" partnership was a grift you most likely have heard about at some point. “spam replies, sketchy DMs”Zero mutuals account you never interacted with starts following you, immediately sends you a DM in the same second. Typical scammer scheme. If you look closer, most of their replies are copy pasted spam: "hey gm. I wanted to send you DM to discuss some upcoming creator campaigns we have but your Dms are closed. Can you send me a DM? Appreciate it!" Spammed the same reply over 30 times in the last few days. If you search their profile for "DM", the "I sent you a DM. Can you please have a look?" spam goes back deep into 2025. The DM they send out: "Hey gm. Hope you doing well. I'm David, KOL Manager from @DVerseGTM . We are building a new type of campaign and think you might be a good fit. I think Dverse already sent you a message about it but I wanted to message you also from my personal account and see if you might be interested in joining. " This "zero mutuals KOL manager" account has never ever interacted with me before, and based on the DM and spam replies - likely scammer. Not sure why this account has 20 positive reviews, either it's platform manipulation or the account got hijacked at some point. Either way - caution advised. On the off chance that this isn't a scammer but an actual (wannabe) "KOL manager" - the negative review would still be justified. Based on their activity you can come to the conclusion that this person doesn't know any actual "KOLs" - they just spam tag and DM random people on CT with whom they have never interacted before. “Ewww...”Looking at the 9% positive reviews, it seems most reviews are pretty accurately showcasing the reputation of this person. Let me add some of my perspective too :) Screenshotting / copying a thread someone else made and ending up providing less context is certainly a skill Kook has mastered. Additional skill is screaming "SCAMMER!" at everyone who provides context to his tweet. Fresh example: Few people tweeted about a fake/malicious page that is made to look like cloudflare captcha - but downloads malware if you click the 'verify captcha' button: https://x.com/BastilleBtc/status/1906467164678189104 https://x.com/criptic_jerome/status/1906455646561812504 Cook screenshots the thread in such a way, as to provide 0 clarity or context while max fearmongering that 'scammers are leveling up' - over a simple fake URL made to look like a different page - something we see on a daily basis in this space. Observe how the image is cropped: https://x.com/KookCapitalLLC/status/1906639960704270362 Kook cropped the URL bar from the screenshot, which showed a different URL than the one the fake cloudflare captcha page claimed to be. That tweet made it seem like cloudflare captcha is making you download malware... and not the malicious page that was accessed by a fake URL. I provided context to his fearmongering and masterfully cropped screenshot that provided no context to how this exploit works: https://x.com/badboykrys/status/1906660567554678841 https://x.com/badboykrys/status/1906659222378475849 https://x.com/badboykrys/status/1906663303834657075 Then I got blocked and called a scammer for providing context 😅😹 Kook now claims that "the scammers themselves are trying to get a community note put on this post" because he "posted a psa about a brutal new drainer scam" 😹 https://x.com/KookCapitalLLC/status/1906673095294763051 https://x.com/KookCapitalLLC/status/1906670861161021459 Can't take this person seriously.
