People get routinely flagged for VPN usage and get perm restricted. If you take your online privacy seriously, OS will nuke you. If you connect from a sanctioned country once (that VPN connection prevents ads on streaming sites lol) they will nuke your profile and won't ever unlock it. Even if it's a singular and obvious VPN connection. Talked with Chris, the Opensea CTO about it. Even though that persons US based employer, including the CEO of the company (!!!), reached out to them vouching for that person - OS and Chris decided to keep that person banned - including nuking their deployed collections and rugging their collectors. Chris and I started DMing again after a short public exchange, you can scroll up from here: https://x.com/badboykrys/status/1961608763925741719 I talked with Chris after he asked on how he can make OS better. Right after getting a LOT of usable feedback - which OS has ignored for the past couple years - he thanked me by censoring some of my NFTs and listings because he deemed some of my ENS names too "controversial". Btw. none of the mentioned issues / feedback got implemented - but right after getting the feedback and asking which things they should prioritize - Chris thanked me by censoring my ENS names and preventing them from being listed / traded. Well, fuck you Chris, you won't be getting any more feedback.

on KEMAL ÖZGÜR · 1080· 2mo ago · negative20“the mindset that kills every product”Gui used to be the Lead DevRel and the Senior Staff Software Engineer / Product Lead (Portfolio) at MetaMask/ConsenSys. Now he works at Solana. Ethos Agent saved his recent tweet, in which Gui mentions he used MM maybe 2-3 times in 3 years. Yikes! I'm one of the people who likes to use products and write feedback on how to make them better. Over the years MetaMask has been such a pain in the ass, and dealing with the people at Consensys/MM was even worse than having to use their product. Gui is the perfect example of why that is. Oh man, how often I had to deal with MM people. Frequent bricking on Firefox. Sometimes permanently bricking with no way to reinstall because it would just brick by default after reinstalling the extension and even fully reinstalling the browser. The people at MM saying to just use Chrome instead. And then Chrome started bricking as well... And then MM had a memory leak when you used services like Sora (the extension ate up 64GB of RAM and crashed the browser/PC lol) See here: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/683417/worst-wallet-on-the-market-and-it-somehow-keeps-getting-worse I had to deal with MM/Consensys people A LOT. But this isn't about those issues. It's about the mindset that kills products. When dealing with Metamask/Consensys people across the HUNDREDS of times troubleshooting and giving feedback - I had one constant thought. Those people are either not using their own product OR getting paid by the competition to deliberately make it worse. I just couldn't prove it for a very long time. That thought got reinforced after 13.0 version rollout when we got things like network selection suddenly being removed and then being hidden behind 3 panels. Or the reversed tx queue that didn't let you push stuck transactions through. Pretty much the only two things that used to work properly suddenly joined the large amount of broken and buggy features. Stuck transactions? Instead of pushing the stuck transaction through, Metamask suddenly switched to editing the LAST transaction instead of the one that's actually stuck. That's useless. Manually bypassing it? Well they removed the address you're using from quick selection, so you had to go back and copy your address to do a 0 value self tx with the stuck nonce. At that point I wrote this: https://x.com/miyaspokeofthis/status/2045934862591267327 "I don’t know how else to say it, but at this point it’s becoming awfully clear that you guys need to fire some people. The last few updates scream that the people behind them aren’t actually using your product… You can’t tell me otherwise. Because either they never actually used the product they are developing, or they are making it unusable on purpose. So which is it? Are your devs getting paid by competitors to make the product worse? Or are they just clueless?" Imagine my surprise when Gui publicly admitted to not using the product... and then going over to Solana. And Gui sadly isn't the only person that used the product 2-3 times. It's the exact reason why MM is constantly getting worse. notsofast described it pretty well: https://x.com/inversebrah/status/2045985947528093811 "the careerist linkedinification of crypto in one perfect post. as soon as serious companies started getting built in crypto, they hired serious job interviewees to work at them who had never used crypto and would (as they intended) go on to never use it" This is why a lot of products undergo "enshittification" after growth. And that's exactly what's happening at Metamask and across a lot of other crypto products. It's that exact mindset that slowly kills all the products you once liked to use. Instead of getting better, they get worse with every single update - to the point that you start to wonder if the people ever used their own product or are getting paid by the competition to make the product worse. Usually it's the former; ~90% rarely ever touch the product outside of test environment. Sometimes it's both, but you just can't prove it. In some cases, like with Gui, you will get the public admission that a) they didn't actually used the product and b) later on switched over to companies that you might actually consider as competition. I guess my gut feeling about Metamask was right. And while I couldn't prove it for a long time - Gui just did.

on Foyeaj · 1215· 50d ago · negative19“A black hole for liquidity and a magnet for grifters”In the first days of PF it felt like it's beneficial for the space. We got standardized contracts which meant that honeypot contracts basically disappeared overnight. No more random token contracts that turned out to be honeypots that you couldn't sell... but suddenly everyone could launch a token because the barrier to deploy disappeared and literally everyone could do it. At first that felt like a positive thing, but in hindsight maybe not everyone should be able to launch a token. The barrier to deploy was beneficial as it kept the extractors away, at least to some degree. While honeypots disappeared overnight, the amount of launched tokens grew exponentially. But the quality of tokens dropped. Also exponentially. So did the average holding time. And while honeypots disappeared -> people came up with other ways to farm the average "trencher". You got farmed before the token even reached the bonding curve. Or the token went to 0 right after bonding because the deployer dumped the whole bundle on you. Or slowly farmed you from their sidewallets. Every launched token got vamped by 20 copycats. Sometimes the original won, sometimes it didn't. Sometimes the same people were behind the OG and the vamp and farmed you twice... And then we got streams. They brought out the worst crowd. Everyone wanted to get rich quick, and every single time a pumpfun video went viral, it was always for the wrong reasons. And it attracted an even more extractive "get rich quick" type of crowd. People threatening to shoot their goldfish on stream. The "thanks for the 20 bandos" kid. The "crackead dev" aka Trevor. All of that just kept attracting the more of the worst crowd. And then we got the bounties and people tattooing stuff on their faces... While they did solve honeypots, they made the space way worse than it used to be before. PF affiliates also farmed their own users, and there's been cases of active communities suddenly having a "CTO" and the fees being diverted to wallets tied to the affiliates or their friends. PF was also supposedly giving out streaming gear to creators, but from what I've seen that went mostly to girl streamers. Like the "mangogirl" who mainly did bikini streams... In the end pumpfun turned out to be pure cancer and most people lost money buying PF deployed tokens. Or their lost their dignity when streaming and doing bounties. Pumpfun is still the "flagship" platform on Solana, which is just negative for the image of the whole chain. The platform turned out to be mainly negative for the space. A black hole for liquidity. A magnet for grifters. The promise of getting rich quick is enticing, but most people will just get repeatedly farmed. Usually by the same grifters.

This deployer has two addresses: OrangeHare_Network https://opensea.io/OrangeHare_Network/created 0x7fd2bb95699d4df935b7a544840928d46532159f This one has 16 collections (!!!) that somehow ended up as OpenSea featured mints. Their previous address, Orangehare-Official, has deployed 50 (!!!) collections: https://opensea.io/Orangehare-Official/created 0xb28077284a81b23bf4709ac326accb8142662cff Their discord is dead, but they do mention AI generating WEEKLY collections out of a single artwork (which most likely is also AI). This is a mass deployer who drops weekly rugcore AI slop. Basically doing a weekly liquidity extraction. For some reason, the 16 collections they dropped from one wallet were all featured on the OS main page. Opensea FAQ mentions a "high standard of quality" for featured drops - but apparently it doesn't apply to this specific deployer. This is not even "not doing proper due diligence", because you can notice it's absolutely awful AI slop on a quick glance. It took less than a minute to notice that they deployed 50 collections on their other wallet. HOW did this deployer manage to constantly be approved as a "featured drop"? It's far from the "high standard of quality" Opensea claims is required to become a curated "featured drop" they promote on their frontpage. I recommend staying away from anything deployed by "OrangeHare".

ICYMI their pinned tweet from 4 days ago is an article called "Sunsetting the Sophon Chain". That was written 2 days before the bounty. The first sentence in that article is "Sophon is sunsetting its ZK-powered L2 and going all in on apps, built on Base." You're right Obinna, Sophon is definitely building their gasless AA chain with a long-term mindset 😹 10/10 research there bud.
