“Monad: A Missed Chance to Reward the Real Community”I’ve been around the Monad community for quite some time, and I honestly expected better from this project. When the airdrop details came out, it was disappointing to see how much of it went to KOLs and influencers on CT — many of whom never even engaged with Monad or believed in it from the start. Meanwhile, the people who actually supported, tested, and built around the ecosystem got barely anything in return. This kind of distribution sends the wrong message. It shows how manipulated parts of the crypto space have become — where connections and clout seem to matter more than genuine contribution. The whole point of decentralization and community building is to create trust and fairness, but moments like this just do the opposite. When the token generation event (TGE) comes, I honestly think this decision could backfire. The people who truly cared are losing faith, and those KOLs who farmed the drop will likely just dump and move on to the next hype train. It’s not about the tokens — it’s about respect and recognizing who actually helped build the foundation of your project. Monad had a real chance to set a new standard, but instead, it’s becoming another example of how trust can be lost in Web3 when the community gets sidelined.

Because this is exactly how trust dies in crypto: when projects forget who was there from day one. If you’re new to this space, take this as a lesson don’t confuse “community-driven” with “community-marketed.” Watch what they do, not what they tweet. Monade isn’t the first to make this mistake, and probably won’t be the last. But for many of us, it’s one more reason to value actions over words.

For a team that talks so much about innovation and community, their actions say something totally different. They don’t reward testers, early supporters, or even acknowledge the people who helped them gain visibility. It is not about feeling entitled to anything, it is just about simple appreciation. “This is a project we have all been anticipating”sadly, I was only in the Monad testnet and made transactions there, but many of my friends have its Discord roles and I think the roles will bring very good rewards. It has millions of users and is one of the most challenging and most bullish crypto projects in existence.
