“Disappointing Execution and Unclear Goals”I didn’t really understand the goal or motivation behind this team. What does a testnet test even mean? The team and the project turned out to be weaker than I expected, and the airdrop was distributed poorly.

“Totally unfair to Testnet users”They had a really terrible token distribution, and honestly, Monad completely deceived Testnet users. I was super active in their ecosystem — participated in different dapps, used several DEXs, collected tons of NFTs — and in the end, all of it turned out useless. I had around 2,000 transactions in total, yet I wasn’t even eligible. If you check their criteria, you’ll see there’s literally 0 tokens for Testnet users, while other NFT holders like CryptoPunks got rewarded instead. It’s really disappointing after all that effort.

“parallel execution done right”monad is a next-gen l1 bringing parallel execution to evm, targeting 10k+ tps with speed and scalability. the testnet has been smooth, showing real potential for high performance dapps. over time, monad built a loyal base right now, the testnet is heavily farmed, so it’ll be interesting to see how they balance farming with real user adoption. definitely a chain worth watching

“Too many boos IMO”When Monad entered the scene, it quickly drew attention thanks to its high-performance technology stack, polished marketing, and an active, engaged community. Yet, much of the public perception has been shaped by the prominence of NFT-related projects in its ecosystem, leading some to dismiss it as “just an NFT chain.” This label is misleading. In its early stages, NFTs are the most visible and easily marketable content, but Monad’s capabilities go far beyond that. Built for scalability, low latency, and cost efficiency, it has the technical foundation to support diverse verticals including DeFi, on-chain gaming, and enterprise-grade applications. The strengths are clear: advanced infrastructure, a cohesive community, and the potential to diversify into multiple high-value sectors. The risks, however, shouldn’t be ignored: the NFT narrative could harden into a long-term perception problem, incentive competition could fragment liquidity, and the ecosystem is still very young. Ultimately, Monad’s future will hinge on execution. If it delivers on usability, targets liquidity effectively, and launches two to three anchor applications that showcase its broader potential, it could break free from the NFT-only narrative and establish itself as a competitive Layer 1 player. Far from being limited to collectibles, Monad may have what it takes to surprise the market.

“Fast and stable Chain”Despite the very high number of transactions, we can handle our transactions without any crashes or problems in the network. if there is a problem, the team helps quickly. It's really nice that they take care of the community. The community values monad and is launching a lot of projects on the network, new NFTs, events, 2048 style games that you can play with MON tokens on the network, and all this happens quickly without waiting for transactions. gMONAD

“Great chain, confusing airdrop”Top-tier tech, active builders, and strong backers. The airdrop situation though… yeah, kinda confusing. I get that they wanted holders who actually stick around, not people who insta-dump, but it still didn’t feel right. Still, the ecosystem is huge, so I’m sure most people won’t just disappear after the airdrop. Sadly I wasn’t on the list, but I’ll grab some tokens later anyway. Intern on the threadguy’s podcast said, you’ve never seen an airdrop like this before. And he wasn’t lying lmao.
