Monad is a high-performance EVM-compatible Layer 1 with impressive technical architecture—parallel execution, 10,000 TPS target, and low latency—that has attracted a passionate community and strong funding. However, the project is deeply polarized: supporters praise the tech, speed, and community bonds formed during testnet, while a substantial portion of the community feels betrayed by the airdrop distribution, which heavily favored influencers and external crypto participants over testnet users who spent months testing and providing feedback. The core tension centers on broken trust—many early supporters view the tokenomics as extractive and the community rewards as unfair, with testnet participants receiving minimal allocation despite their contributions, while others remain bullish on the technical foundation and long-term potential.

“My Journey with Monad: From Test Tokens to a Thousand Transactions”I’ve been actively working with the Monad project for quite a long time, and honestly, it’s one of the most interesting and unusual testnets I’ve ever participated in. What impressed me the most was the team’s approach from the very beginning. Instead of the usual open registration, Monad itself selected wallets and sent test tokens directly. I was lucky enough to be included in that list, and such an unexpected step immediately gave me the motivation to dive into the project. At first, everything looked like in most other projects simple tasks, a few interactions, nothing special. But over time, the scale of the ecosystem began to grow rapidly. Dozens of websites appeared, countless activities, NFTs, and even entire collections. Before I knew it, I had completed more than a thousand transactions and visited more platforms than I can even recall. It stopped feeling like just an ordinary testnet it felt like real immersion and an adventure, with new challenges at every step. I’m still actively engaging with Monad, and I can honestly say that this project has kept my attention much longer than most others. It’s not just about the potential airdrop (though of course, I hope the team appreciates the efforts of active users), but also about the feeling that you’re part of something alive and constantly evolving. Watching the network grow and seeing how much effort the team is putting in has been truly impressive. I sincerely hope this journey won’t be in vain. Projects that value their community usually go far, and I believe Monad has every chance to stand out once it officially enters the market. For me, it’s been a mix of challenges, enjoyment, and anticipation all in one. So I wish the Monad team that their plans come true, and that all their hard work brings results both for them and for us the community that works in this testnet day after day. As for me, I’ll continue moving forward and waiting for the next chapter in this already exciting and rewarding adventure.M1ster.base.eth (❖,❖) · 1301· 1y ago17
