“The Betrayal Project”Monad prioritizes CT to avoid being scammed. Commoners who invest in testnets and hope for a jackpot have no impact if they scam, while CT has a significant impact if they scam. After CT receives an allocation, they immediately look for other projects to send daily posts and say what. And what about ineligible testnet users? They also want to consider using the blockchain on the mainnet.

A lot of attention is being pulled forward by performance claims and ecosystem hype -yet for outsiders, it’s hard to verify what’s live, what’s benchmarked, and what’s simply aspirational.

“Community >< Tech”I really like Tech Monad. When I first saw the Monad docs, I was impressed by what they had built. However, I don't really like the community culture, one example being the selfie content, which I think is trash, even though there is also a lot of content and communities that highlight what Monad has built.

“network monad”The project I started by chatting on Discord eventually led me to make around 3,000 transactions on the DEXs it introduced. After that, I became eligible for rewards based on my activity, which genuinely excited me. I’m still following this network closely.

“A disappointment i still cannot believe.”Its one thing to build a product that has great potential and its another to deploy it and people intentionally use said product. Monad showed me a side of web3 I could never imagine seeing. What logic was used in distributing allocations to users or rather non users; that was exactly what this project displayed. A gross disregard for actual users. Rewarding people who never used the product and discarded those who did. Words escape me for the terms used to describe this level of incompetence and utter wickedness in web3. Community obviously meant nothing to them.

What Went Wrong. But when the time came for the airdrop, many were shocked. Not everyone got access to the rewards, and the selection criteria were unclear. Some early and highly active participants found themselves left out - with no explanation and no chance to appeal.

“Severe Failure in Reward Distribution and Trust”My team invested months of hard work time and resources into the Monad project. We had high expectations for a significant reward reflecting our extensive activity. Monad performed extremely poorly during the reward distribution. This failure deeply disappointed all participants. We expected far better from Monad and hoped for a fair outcome given the effort involved. It is still hard to believe Monad made such a damaging decision. This action severely damaged their community trust and will ultimately harm the project's long-term success. Monad demonstrated a clear failure of commitment and execution.

“Those who tested the network received nothing”Despite testing all of our activities and spending time in the ecosystem, they didn't reward the community, instead rewarding only those who traded on networks they felt close to. They made the community hate them.

For a project claiming to “redefine scalability,” it still feels like it’s stuck in the shadow of more mature L1s. The community seems overly defensive toward any criticism, and actual technical updates have been sparse compared to the hype. Verdict: Great narrative, but right now Monad feels more like vaporware than a viable Ethereum alternative.
