In this thread, I’ll show how my team and I worked with TEN’s co-founders for over 3 years, and how they took away all the tokens we were owed right before TGE [https://pbs.twimg.com/media/G6XMnZ3WgAAbGFn?format=png&name=small] It all started 3 years ago. We found TEN when it was still called Obscuro, and [https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/0xCais] communicated with us kindly. We decided to help the project in exchange for tokens, because we believed in it — not for a salary We built a faucet bot for their Discord testnet, and it worked for more than a year until TEN decided to replace it with their own bot. Ours was constantly improved, had unique features, and the team loved it. We raised this issue, and I even had a call with another TEN co-founder, [https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/Gavin_Chain] Where we explained why fair evaluation matters and why a tweet cannot be worth only 5× less than a video that takes a whole team 3 weeks to produce. After this call, we did get additional points for our contribution. [https://pbs.twimg.com/media/G6Xs6puW8AAc-LD?format=png&name=900x900] Unfortunately, by that time most community management had already been delegated to the moderator Oswy, who handled the point system (he early promised up our rewards 5×) He became angry at us for trying to bring fairness to the system and began threatening to remove all our roles and tokens if we continued. @0xCais promised to look into it, but ultimately dropped the issue. We kept contributing to TEN: we helped build a news website, joined calls with the developers, and even set up a node, buying a server for it. Later, the team held a meme contest where we submitted many strong entries — but obvious bots won, accounts with no tweets and created recently. When my friend asked Oswy about it, he said it was too hard to review all tweets and choose quality work. When my friend offered to help him, his Musketeer role was removed as well. Then my role was removed again, even though I wasn’t even online. I tried to find out if this would affect our tokens. Remember, at that point the project was already 2 years overdue for TGE. @0xCais assured us that our tokens would remain. It made sense — the snapshot had already been taken, and we had seen our tokens in the checker. After 2 weeks of back-and-forth, the team sent me to Oswy with a “compromise”: to receive only 50k tokens for the Musketeer role [https://pbs.twimg.com/media/G6XuJqNWQAActxT?format=png&name=900x900] Oswy, in turn, said he would take all our tokens if we didn’t stop asking questions. Just think about it — they threatened to take away tokens that were already sitting in our wallets. In the checker we are now all “Not Eligible,” despite our enormous work and despite the tokens we previously saw in our wallets. The team doesn’t care and ignores all messages.
