“Builder Who Listens”I’d be honored to be the first to leave a review for Retrimentum on Ethos. I met him while grinding the beta of his product, Upshot. From the start, I genuinely enjoyed the experience. The concept sits right at the intersection of things I love fantasy games, market predictions, odds, betting dynamics, and strong communities. Because of that, I reached out and started sharing feedback while using the product. What stood out immediately was his attitude. Retriever is incredibly approachable, thoughtful, and open to discussion. Not once did he react defensively to feedback quite the opposite. He listens, responds quickly, and clearly wants to improve the product every day. Upshot even received a $50k grant from Base, which says a lot about the potential here. A founder who builds seriously and stays accessible. Rare and appreciated.

“Retrimentum is based”Retrimentum is an exceptional founder and winner of Base Batches. Retrimentum realized that while prediction markets are a mainstream cultural force, current interfaces are often intimidating for consumers. That led him to build Upshot, that offers a unique "consumer wrapper" that abstracts the order book into a "pack opening" experience. To this day, Retrimentum still has a chip on his shoulder that there is no mainstream application in crypto and he seeks to change that.
