Received · 2Given · 0“The one book you must read on Bitcoin”To say it in the words of Michael Saylor: "The Bitcoin Standard is my first recommendation..." and I couldn’t agree more. Saifedean Ammous, an accomplished economist with a PhD and years of academic experience, brings a rare combination of scholarly depth and clarity. His deep understanding of monetary history and uncompromising logic make him one of the most trustworthy voices in the Bitcoin space. A must-read.

Speedbird · 1214· 1y ago9“Defending sound money with intellectual clarity and conviction”@saifedean has become one of the most influential voices in the Bitcoin community through his defense of sound money, free-market economics, and personal sovereignty. As the author of The Bitcoin Standard and The Fiat Standard, he connects monetary history, economic theory, and present-day policy in a way that resonates across ideologies. His critique of fiat currency is rooted in a belief that inflationary systems erode savings, distort incentives, and enable structural exploitation. In contrast, he views Bitcoin as a monetary reset, offering individuals a path toward financial independence through a fixed-supply, decentralized alternative. Beyond economics, @saifedean is also known for his advocacy of carnivory and lifestyle minimalism—ideas he presents with consistency and rigor. While some of his positions spark debate, his core message remains clear: personal responsibility, voluntary exchange, and long-term thinking are essential for individual and societal flourishing. Respected by many in the Bitcoin and Austrian economics communities, his influence goes beyond charts and price action. Readers like @0merskywalker credit him with shaping how they view money, value, and sovereignty in a digitized world. In a space filled with noise, @saifedean offers a coherent worldview rooted in history, logic, and first principles.
