Through consistency, he’s created a strong foundation around reputation. In a world where a lot of things are anonymous and credibility is easy to fake, that kind of work stands out,man. Through the Ethos platform, he’s helping build infrastructure that might not look flashy now, but will matter a lot over time. While others chase attention, he’s building something sustainable. TechMX · 1264· 9mo ago21“Ethos Leader”Like many other people reviewing Serpin, I think we're all in alignment there's something to Ethos that shows promise & we all have different spins on what could work & what wouldn't. I didn't know who he was prior to Ethos but eventually learnt of the origin of the platform & resonated with the idea of Ethos being a reputation maxi. I also initially liked his posts on socials & his approach to building in public, not shying away from FUD & felt that's definitely the harder path to follow but would bear the most results when it comes to developing features. That first impression soured after I saw the backlash with regards to changes in the algorithm - I recall seeing a few comments that I feared reflected too rigid of a stance & go contrarian to my initial thoughts he's the type of builder that would be flexible to implement new features for the long term viability of the company. Anyways, I'm glad to have been proven wrong - I do like the platform & while I still think there is plenty of work to be done to ensure stakeholder alignment, progression etc he's not a builder I expect to stop anytime soon. While still imperfect, the scores derived from the algorithms reflect his willingness to experiment which I feel is what bogs down many builders. I've also shared a few thoughts over discord (where he is chronically online) & he's been fairly receptive towards that.

I’ve had nothing but good impressions of this person as well. So, I started following him more closely and realized that he’s a prominent figure in the world of Web3 and crypto in general.

His work on Ethos is the foundation for what Web3 can and should be. He is building a decentralized reputation system that gives not just points, but a real level of trust in people, projects, and communities. The point of Ethos is not in points for the sake of points, but in transparency, in social proof, which cannot be bought. This is an infrastructure that can form the basis of everything from lending to community selection. I really like the way serpinxbt explains it clearly and honestly. He has no illusions: he sees how Web3 is developing and suggests building a system where value and reputation will really mean something. I am very pleased to watch him and how the project is developing. I try to put a little bit of my experience into it myself. My attention is here and I like it.

Ruthless. Unforgiving. Serpin now represents himself, the project, and the entire idea of InfoFi and crypto reputation. Any mistake, misstep, or weakness will be dissected under a microscope. If he stumbles, it’s not just his fall — it could shake faith in the whole InfoFi space. I’m not sure he fully realises what he’s carrying. I admire the fact that he’s willing to take this on. But Serpin — don’t become a saint. Stay human. Keep your flaws. That’s the only way this can survive. Because turning yourself into a cult image isn’t just unsustainable — it’s a dead end. Good luck. I respect what you’re building. And I hope you make it - as a man, not as a myth.
