Which means they have to release new TLDs to stay affloat. And a week later Matt dropped this announcement: https://x.com/mattgould/status/2033684862964519041 It took them a whole 7 days to go from "new web3 .xz1 TLD, give us your money" to "fuck web3, we outta here". Matt also tweeted about the pivot out of web3: "the general direction has been laid out for almost 2 years now and we continue to believe it's the right direction." Which means the TLDs they've been pumping out for the last ~2 years were nothing more but a cash grab before they pivot out of web3. I've been around UD since 2021 and it took less than 5 TLD releases to notice the direction they were heading. Some people took a while longer and noticed it around the time the UD discord was nuked as they wanted to be more corpo and didn't need the community feedback anymore. But it's 2026. UD has 140+ worthless web3 TLDs. And they don't care about web3 or their userbase anymore. So why should you?

“Always ahead with web3 domain drops”Their feed’s packed with fresh takes on web3 domains, really showing how stuff like earn.blockchain or stakes.nft can flip the game for traders and projects. they’re big on Unstoppable Domains and always shout out community drops like the .chip giveaways, which makes the whole scene feel more alive and real. definitely someone who’s deep in the digital naming space and knows what’s up.

“The OnChain Domain Service”I remember back in 2021 when NFTs where hot, I stumbled upon this service and knew immediately I needed to get my domain name. You can still get a lot of the 2 word names. I see they have been adding new tds like .retardio, .wif. And sometimes there have been auctions for keyword names like cities, states, etc. It will be interesting to see communities created with domain names like this. What would be the benefit? Token sharing? economic rev sharing? dividends? It's a fascinating theory to see how tokenization is forming now in corporations. Will we eventually see .meta or .amazon, .google domain names? Its a start up and a positive contributor to on chain identity.
