“Impersonating a known catfish account LOL”Saw DMs from this account on X today - it reached out to a lot of known creators trying to "connect". What's funny is: It's an impersonation of the @xiaweb3 account which has already been slashed + called out on Ethos for being a fake personality. So this is the ultimate fake fake personality. If you follow this acc, I don't know what you are doing in web3.

“Mars Cat CEO, rare founder”Jay and I met somewhere in 2023 or something, and all I can say about him are positive things. He's the founder / CEO of Mars Cat Voyages, and super down to earth. Always interested in talking web3 in general, giving his feedback on my content pieces when asked for it. Overall just a very down to earth guy I'd love to meet in real life. You rarely see founders from the "early" days being as approachable as him, I really love these traits.

“Fake Podcast Inquiry”This guy pretends to be working for the @CryptoCoinShow. Double checked with the legit CCS account and this David turns out to be phishing profile. Stay away from any invites that want to take you to a Zoom call with this account because they will try to scam you.

“Recovery scammer that tags people on X”The account is leaving comments on crypto accounts being drained / emptied, pointing to a fake recovery service @zota__cyber. STAY AWAY from these services, there are NO legit recovery service outside of law enforcement.

“Phishing Campaign”Lucky24Bet is now promoted by spam ring accounts like @sollypunk. It has all the red flags you need in a DM, and in the past, this casino branding showed up as 24bets_io, which is also a phishing campaign to get users to interact with their offers. >Hello, I am a representative of the @Lucky24Bet team, and we would like to collaborate with you. We are offering you an ambassador role with a weekly balance boost starting from $2,000 USD (withdrawal available after a x1 wagering requirement). Your responsibility will be to post about our project and gaming platform on your social media and provide reports for your audience. Additionally, we will pay you a fixed amount of $1,000 directly to your crypto wallet. >You can sign up now on our website 24BETS IO, use the promo code JOBET700 to receive $700 in your balance (withdrawal is also available after rollover). If you're interested, feel free to DM the project on X @Lucky24BET to discuss all the terms.

“Promotes Scam Game”StarLedgeri DMed me saying they wanted me to work as their "international community manager" for a game called EternaVerse (@VerseEterna). You have all the usual phishing scheme hooks in here, a great salary for little work, and a "game" that needs to be downloaded. Also they were pretty pushy in the DMs, which is sus if they actually wanted to work with you.

“Sending malicious links”This profile is distributing links to a fake streamyard download, that's ultimately trying to steal your login credentials. Stay away and always cross check official links!

“Outright Rug”This is one of the worst Rugs I've seen (and was a victim of) in Web3. The project failed to mint out a 10000 PFP collection; they minuted 413 (!) tokens in total, and soon after, they just promoted a new NFT for @PortdusoleiNFT as a premium, which also has been a Rug. If ever there's been a place to REFUND users, this project should have done so. Absolutly disgusting.

“Definitely not Lazy”Woozy has been one of the, if not the biggest cheerleader for the OG Lazy Lion community. Dude was always online, He was always positive and engaging, plus organized tons of fun community events for the pride. Makes me really sad that he's not around much in web3 anymore because his believes into this project were ultimately exploited by the extractive founders. Dude is a gem of a human and deserves much better.

“Gave his heart & soul to Lazy Lions”Man, where do I start with Rex? If you were a Lazy Lion holder and engaged in the community at some point in your NFT journey, you would have come across Rex (formerly AR) on the Lions Discord. Dude was always helpful and tried everything he could as a community manager to keep the brand alive and floating. It's a real shame of how his talent was wasted by the original founders. He continued to work on his own stuff afterwards (see the Rex Roar comics, or his boardgame). I love this dude for all he has done for the Lions, and would love to see him thrive in another web3 enviroment again. Much respect man!

“Definition of a builder”If you are looking for a true builder, stop here and follow Ohm. This guy and his team launched a product called Wallet Guard that simulates wallet transactions before they actually happen to protect users from all kinds of scams and phishing attacks. Wallet Guard was acquired by Consensys (!), so it's fair to say they made it and built a great market fit. Ohm is down to earth and always approachable, still remember Wallet Guard spaces starting off on X. Great success story!
