I've been following him for a while since he's teaching people how to learn Solidity with Cyfrin Updraft for free - and he does great video content. Good video content is rare in web3, but even more rare when we are talking about breaking down the complex topics of dev-tooling and security in web3. One of his best videos is the breakdown of the blind signing issue in crypto. Had the pleasure to host Patrick for a Video Podcast yesterday and can now add that he's a super professional guy, fun to be around and doesn't shy away from a hot take. If you're a bit more into the nerdy side of tech in crypto, Patrick is a must-follow.

on Jasmine Birtles · 1165· 5mo ago · negative225“Scam Project”There are some good reports on this "Podcast" project on X, and that it is run by scammers to look legitimate. They have a whole network of accounts that pretend to be working for the company, so watch out for profiles with PFPs from Punks and other collections. They initially meet with you via a legit Google Meet link, but then mention they have a sponsorship with Streamyard, which they run all their podcasts on. That fake client they sent to you is a malware (virus) that will steal your crypto wallets and credientals. See this report: https://x.com/nft_dreww/status/2053809337856892982

Previously: 🕑 2mo ago ⋅ briannesolyv 🕑 2mo ago ⋅ maikolmaikviia 🕑 11mo ago ⋅ brianne__xo Plus, it contacts you with a fake invite for a podcast (in this case, they impersonated theindexshow). When saying it's not working from the phone, they insist that you join the podcast from your desktop. The end goal is always the same: To get you to download their malware/virus. Stay away, don't ever download any clients for podcasts or install any updates. Always use a hardware wallet!

He claimed from his new account @PrasinosAntonis that the account has been compromised, and he's got no chance to get it back even with X support. This account DMed me unsolicited "business / investor ideas" even though we haven't talked in years followed up with docsend links and more invites. Do not interact!

on AntonisBTC 🟧 · 1186· 6mo ago · negative281“Phishing”This handle / account was promoted in Discord to lure a user to submit a ticket to this Twitter profile. This should be obvious but this is not any official account nor a customer service profile. It's a scam! Stay away, do not share any data or messages with these profiles!

on CREATE A TICKET · 922· 4mo ago · negative246“Grateful for Cristian”If you've been part of the Ethos network for some time and participated in chats, you certainly come across this legend. That's not enough for a positive review of course, so beyond just seeing Cristian around, Cris and I have been exchanging messages, memes and healthy disagreements in DMs. In a space of yes-men and people lashing out if you disagree with them, that's a trait I absolutely love. I highly value the way he communicates his ideas and the views he shares on the (whole) ecosystem, I'd go as far as to say Cristian is one of the rare cases where chats actually develop into a solid internet friendship over time. And yes, we will continue to spam Stone Cold "WHAT?" gifs at each other indefinitely.

In the last 15 minutes, he replied 38x to accounts with: >gm and happy Monday. >Let's go smash the new week. Also replied 17 times with: > Turns out that SafePal isn't that safe. 😂 In the last hour. Before I noticed him doing the same on the Trezor leak, where he just spammed: >Crime szn never left the room. >But this is mental. The shipping provider got hacked, that's a crazy attack vector. Over and over and over again. This is not real engagement, this is - arguably worse than a bot that crafts an answer that actually changes.

What I really value about the connection is, you can always expand it beyond topics that are just web3. Struggling with life? No probs, chat it out. Feels like he's a very rich character and I am grateful we met through the education path!

on depressivehacks · 1401· 1y ago74“"Hacked" twice in 2026”Matt Furie's X account has been "hacked" twice in 2026. In August 2026 the account promoted some stuff on Robinhood chain, only to post that he has been "hacked" afterwards. >It was fun watching the timeline speculate while the answer was sitting on my website the whole time. >My twitter was hacked. I do not endorse any shitcoins. > Anyway, back to drawing. In April 2026, his account posted about a Pepe Memecoin for the 3-year anniversary, where he later stated the account was "hacked" too. In June 2025, he had an NFT project called Replicandy NFT, which apparently was exploited by DPRK workers. Sorry, but that's just too many coincidences. This is pure negligence at some point, even if the hacks were legit. Horrible opsec for someone who has a following of 227k+ on X alone.

on CREATE A TICKET · 1182· 7mo ago · negative70“Incident with MK3s on July 31st”A hardware wallet has one core job and that's to generate and protect secure keys. Coldcard apparently shipped firmware that could generate seed phrases with significantly reduced randomness. Those seeds cannot be repaired with an update, and affected users must create a new wallet and move their funds. The August 1st estimate from the public on-chain tracking is ~1128 BTC stolen linked to this firmware "bug". Quote from Coinkite (the vendor): > If your seed was generated on a Mk3 running firmware 4.0.1 through 4.1.9 without at least 50 independent, private dice rolls [...] Note: Even Mk4, Mk5 and Q are affected too, even though the entropy was higher than on the Mk3. Owners should check which device and firmware originally generated their seed and migrate if you are in the affected range. This event will have a direct impact on how self-custody is perceived by normal users, since even people who are technically averse were affected by trusting a third party.
