“Highly a scammer”This account shot a DM to a verified CT organisation account, inviting them to "work on our project" (they didn't even realize, they were DMing a company?). The use buzzwords like "we are recognized in the web3 space" (no mutual followers) and there's a "big budget in place". Highly likely this will turn out as a scam / phishing attempt. Please do not proceed.

“X2Y2 Scammer”Account DMs people pretending to be interested in buying their NFT. After negotiating a price (often WAY too good for the supposed seller), he follows up with a FAKE X2Y2 link. Connecting your wallet here will drain assets. STAY AWAY!

“Trying to solve Crypto Coverage”Fairside is such a great product fit for the wild west crypto space. Coming from a web3 security guy, we always have the huge void someone falls into, when getting scammed. Not only do they lose money, but they get a lot of emotional guilt on top of it for free. Whatever we as security people do, we can never make someone "whole" again, besides telling them what they should avoid the next time. If there even is a next time for them. What Fairside is trying to do is basically build a safety net for users to be covered against most crypto scams (Malware, Phishing) to give the users peace of mind for a small annual fee depending on the amount covered. It's a real need for the space after being in security for 3+ years now. Disclosure: I'm an ambassador for Fairside, so you might consider this review biased.

“Rug”My first ever NFT mint. I was new, and dumb. Everyone has forgotten, but not my hidden folder. What else could it have been but a RUG? To be fair, this was an incredible slow rug - they promised to team up with breweries to create beer beverages such as "ETH Ale" for example, and eventually after a year we received 2 sample cans of "ETH Ale". That was the end of the project. Minted 3, so approx $900 for 2 cans of beer. Luxury af! Only positive I can say about this is it was just a 555 collection, so it was not a full blown greed crime.

“Excellent Community Member”I first met Sharkie (snow) through the Boring Security Discord. As a core contributor and educator there, I see many users drop in and out of our Discord over time. Sharkie however completly stands out. I got to say I am really, really impressed by the consistency that he's showing up in our Discord with. He's isn't officially part of the team, yet he takes care of newcomers with questions and guides them into the right direction, plus actively helps the Discord chats stay active. All that without ever asking for anything in return, I think any community that has Sharkie amid them is incredibly lucky. Absolute A+ community member.

“Great guy!”Have been chatting with Jeremy for some months now, we initially crossed paths because I joined the Veefriends community. He does do video explainers for Veefriends stuff which are very well organized. We were chatting about the current market or even trends on X, plus we also chatted out about a potential partnerclass for Veefriends and Boring Security, where he gave a lot of insight on how important the security aspect is to the Veefriends universe. Have had video calls too and felt he's a real outstanding character!

“Scam hiring in DMs”Phantom_Void pretends to be working for a project called "Tribewars" - they used @TRIBEWARS_NFT and @TRIBEWARS_SOL as handles. He wants to onboard you as a game moderator with a nice salary. The game itself is just the standard malware / stealer if you download it, lots of cases already reported on X. Stay away from downloading anything related to this project, you will lose your crypto!

“Bot Army is promoting this account”There's a bot army on X promoting this account for investment advice in various comment sections on X. Hundreds of comments from generic X profiles, usually having 5 numbers in their handle. If you need a red flag to avoid an account, you have it right here.

“Sending Fake Podcast Links”Flagging this as a scam account trying to push a fake streaming platform called Streamzyra. He invited a mutual with a link to the Streamzyra streaming platform, which you need to download (don't!). When the contact refused to download the non-browser-based app, he sent a guide to paste a command (!) into the terminal (which will run a script and sideload malware). Do not visit, download or run anything related to these services. If you already ran or downloaded this, assume you (and your wallets) are compromised!

“+EV for the industry”I've worked with ChainPatrol as an ambassador in the past, and currently, they let me host the weekly "Hot Takes and Cold Wallets" live show on X for them on their Twitter account. Through this journey, I was able to work pretty closely with the team and got to know them on the shows and calls. Nikita (CEO), Vito (COO) and Juan (Growth) are super passionate and I can only say these guys are fighting to make this industry a better place. Plus, they are basically attempting every conference out there, so if you want to get in touch, just show up there. ChainPatrol's product is brand protection, which helps detect and fight off phishing scams, impersonators and drainers. They contribute to blocklists in wallets like MetaMask and Coinbase to protect communities on a wallet level with notifications, which can not be valued enough because the goal is always to protect people from becoming victims of a scam.

“Using Fake AI videos to promote their "recovery service"”I hope you know by 2026 that a recovery of stolen crypto is a scam attempt in itself. This profile even has AI generated videos of people talking about how the service was able to recover their stolen assets. Again, please do not fall for this. Even with law enforcement involved, you see less than 1% of cases where crypto is recovered.

“Selling false hopes”They state this on their pinned X tweet: "Do you know that stolen crypto and digital assets be recovered ? YES 100% With the transaction IDs of a victim's assets, the movement of stolen crypto from scammers can be traced and refunded back to you in full 100% " -> This is 100% wrong. There is no way to recover stolen assets, especially not with a 100% guaranteed chance. Even with successful cases in court, there's probably a <1% chance a victim will ever see any of his funds back. Please do not fall for services like these, they are exploiting people that have already fallen victim for a scam.
