“Another slow rug from Trump’s family”Questionable “decentralized” governance, proposals being resolved in favor of founders, people put on the team because of favoritism, not professionalism & the majority of tokens being in the hands of Trump’s family/insiders. Justin Sun, who was one of the biggest supporters of WLFI, is now being taken to federal court & his tokens are being frozen. How can this still be called DeFi? To be honest, I would recommend everyone stay away from products connected with Donald Trump, as the only goal there is to enrich the founders. Typical extraction, which will end as soon as Trump is out of the presidential chair.

“Governance Theater”WLFI increasingly looks less like decentralized finance and more like a politically protected insider machine. From controversial USD1 activity, questionable exchange behavior and aggressive promotion of failed ecosystem projects, to governance votes designed to punish dissent and favor team-controlled outcomes, the credibility gap keeps growing. Anonymous multisigs controlling billions while users face identity checks destroys the “decentralized” narrative entirely. Add the Trump branding, leverage risks, and community manipulation concerns and the project feels deeply corporate, coercive and fundamentally untrustworthy.

“let's see where this goes”I invested in the presale last year. The team seems to know what it's doing (simultaneous listing on all CEXs and DEXs, good communication). However, we still don't know what the project will do. We'll have to wait and see now

“World Liberty Financial just got something interesting”At first, I wasn’t too sure about World Liberty Financial, especially with the non-tradable tokens. But the fact that the community voted on tradability shows they’re serious about decentralization. On top of that, launching a T-bill–backed stablecoin like USD1 is rare in this space. Definitely makes me want to follow the project more closely.

“Is this a centralized project?”Trump family backed web3 project. But seems like it's centralized. They have unilateral power to freeze any token holder's assets. Also their governance token didn't provide tangible benefits and its borrowing and lending mechanism is outdated. you know they minted $400M worth tokens and borrowed it against $200M USDC and USD1. most negative thing is Eric Trump took down all WLFI related tweets before August 2025 and the whole Trump family quietly changed their titles.

“DeFi Platform Backed by Trump Family”I have to admit I was skeptical at first with WLFI, the original presale had the disclaimer that the tokens were NOT tradeable and here is where a lot of people missed the boat: they published that in order to cover their backs while the SEC was still under the control of the democrats and specially Gary Gensler. If you were able to read between the lines, you'd have understood this and the fact that they also mentioned that it could be made tradeable if the community decided to vote on it. Well vote on it we did, and it's now soon to be tradeable. Bullish on WLFI and their Tbill backed stablecoin USD1.
