He alleged then that its 'fair' distribution gave the team 20% of supply with every major VC invested, and that its user acquisition resembled an MLM. In a July 2023 thread he alleged that it inflated user numbers by exploiting people in developing countries, citing MIT Technology Review. He also said verified accounts sold on Telegram for as little as $1, and that insider allocation rose from 20% to 25%, citing CoinDesk. In 2024 he called WLD's low-float, high-FDV design 'scam tokenomics' benefiting insiders, and said World hid and then unhid his reply. In March 2026 Lookonchain reported that Worldcoin appeared to sell 117M WLD ($38.7M) via OTC. Several token holders called these sales a dump; most such posts are vague. No response from World to these points was found. Over the same period CoinDesk, Pantera, a16z crypto, Okta and peaq reported AgentKit, a World ID upgrade and new integrations.
