“Avoiding Rug Pulls: Why Xitadel Is a Green Flag for Ethical and Responsible Crypto Projects”Xitadel is a project that is personally meaningful to me. I can tell you that more than once, my Web3 friends and I have been rug pulled - not by the meme coin life cycle or an outright scam though, but because the team behind the project had a gap in funding. Whatever the reason, no one wants to get rugged. What's the connection between Xitadel and all of this? The latest innovation from Xitadel, the Liquid Treasury Tokens (LTTs), is aimed to directly tackle the issue in discussion. Xitadel’s LTTs allow projects to ethically raise money (stablecoin liquidity, specifically) for their development needs without dumping tokens and creating sudden market disruptions. I think this sort of method benefits all the stakeholders in the long run, and that's what is wonderful about it! The magic of LTTs is simple: A project deposits tokens as collateral → Xitadel mints LTT stablecoins representing crypto debt → LTTs are sold to investors for stablecoins, providing liquidity to the project → on-chain Keeper Bot conducts protocol risk monitoring and rules enforcement → at maturity, the project repays stablecoins with interest to LTT holders (→ or if the project defaults, collateral is liquidated to protect investors). Such an elegant and promising solution would be beneficial to the crypto market, providing that investors will know that their stablecoin investments will come back with interest in the future. Such a solution would also efficiently fulfill founders’ needs to fuel their further development without diluting ownership or pushing the token price downward. We have seen too many pump-and-dump schemes and scams recently, and I'm glad to see the introduction of an institutional-grade product, like the LTTs, to limit or even eradicate the problems many of us have experienced in recent years. Personally, if I see that some project has made a deal with Xitadel to issue LTTs, I would consider it a BIG green flag. It would lead me to trust the project and its founders because such a move would demonstrate that they are committed to transparent and responsible funding. It would also make it clear that they are genuinely interested in ethical, lasting, and sustainable growth of their project. All things considered, I strongly believe that Xitadel is about to change the crypto and Web3 space for the better.evanescent · 1307· 1y ago3
