From 225 activities · Mar 2026Eclipse is a Layer 2 blockchain that promised fairness and community-driven development but systematically betrayed supporters through unfair token distribution, poor airdrop execution, and dismissive leadership. Early community members and ASC NFT holders who invested time and money felt farmed and excluded, while the team prioritized insiders and later engaged in bear-posting about their own project. The chain has become a ghost town with minimal adoption, abandoned apps, and widespread reports of scamming behavior, broken promises, and toxic community management.

Received · 703Given · 0“I Followed the Hype, But Never Felt the Conviction”I was part of the Eclipse community early on. I bought in like many did, riding the hype, picking up NFTs (several ASC), and trying to understand the modular chain narrative that was being pushed hard. But truthfully? I never really connected with the vision. Modular chains solve an intellectual problem, not one many on-chain users actively face. I followed the movement, but deep down, I didn’t feel the conviction. When I needed liquidity to farm projects I truly believed in, sacrificing my Eclipse assets was an easy choice. What really confirmed my doubts was how Alucart chose to reward users. The whole system felt closed, maximalist, even cultish. And seeing how the Mad Lads community was used for early momentum, only to be sidelined later was the final red flag for me. Eclipse never felt like it was built for users. It felt like it was built to impress builders, VCs, and people chasing abstract narratives. For now the ecosystem is still poor, but it will may improve in the future. I don't hate, I just realized I wasn’t aligned. Glad I moved on, and no regrets. Conviction matters more than hype.

Gamax.hl 🎒 · 1290· 1y ago · negative9“Tap Tap Cow Chain”Eclipse claimed to be the next big SVM Layer 2, but all it ended up rewarding was people who tapped a virtual cow. Seriously forget actual onchain users, early adopters, NFT holders, DeFi participants, or anyone who bridged, swapped, borrowed, or held assets. OG collections like Validators were ignored. None of that mattered. All they cared about was who tapped the most. This wasn’t an airdrop for the community it was a tap to earn game with no respect for real engagement.

Their posts are bursting with energy, sharing the latest updates on Ethereum’s fastest SVM L2, mainnet milestones, and a bold vision for the Eclipse Economy. Their transparency like announcing the governance role of the Eclipse Foundation is truly inspiring. Their passion and strong sense of community really stand out.

@zeronamel · 1288· 8mo ago · negative16“The Bull who couldn't”When this project first came up, I personally thought it should make something interesting, a hybrid of $ETH and $SOL was something incredible. Unfortunately, at the time of TGE the network was raw, no cool apps, there was no movement on NFT either (except ACS), the team was 100% failing. And the final nail in the coffin lid was airdrop, which unfairly gave away the rewards to the community! Perhaps the token itself can be raised higher, but cryptans are unlikely to want to go back there.

Naren · 1313· 10mo ago · negative11“Balancing community excitement and fairness challenges”The Eclipse airdrop gave a chunk of tokens to the people in the community. Some folks were happy with it because it helped actually to get people involved and excited about using the token. But others were worried it wasn’t totally fair, some feel like the way tokens were handed out didn’t favor everyone equally. This kind of thing is pretty normal when new tokens launch. At first, prices can jump around a lot, and not everyone agrees on who should get.

0x ✨ · 1240· 1y ago · neutral11“It is very difficult to increase the number of users”Eclipse failed the testnet and airdrop processes. They haven't been active since the TGE. I believe it's one of the blockchain projects that will gradually fade away. I say this regardless of price.

Mr Ayhan Kayan · 1266· 1y ago · negative11“Scam and extractor”This project had great potential but Alucard and others returned it into community farming project. Team get most of airdrop by fake discord accounts and giving themselves OG roles, literally didn't let people sell their ASC NFTs by airdrop speculation and paid only mint price. Worst experience ever.

Tԋҽ ʅαԃყ Fιʂαყσ 👸🏾 · 1219· 1y ago · negative10“Total Eclipse of the Chain”Eclipse feels like that friend who shows up late to the party but somehow brings the best snacks. Instead of forcing us to pick sides between Solana and Ethereum, they’re like, “Relax, we’ll blend the speed and the security for you.” That modular approach honestly feels less like tech jargon and more like a crypto life hack. It’s still early, but the devs seem locked in, dropping updates without the endless hype machine. To me, Eclipse doesn’t scream “just another L2” — it gives off “this could actually shift the game” vibes. Like a real eclipse, you don’t see it every day, but when you do, everyone looks up.
