From 225 activities · Mar 2026Eclipse is a Layer 2 blockchain that promised fairness and community-driven development but systematically betrayed supporters through unfair token distribution, poor airdrop execution, and dismissive leadership. Early community members and ASC NFT holders who invested time and money felt farmed and excluded, while the team prioritized insiders and later engaged in bear-posting about their own project. The chain has become a ghost town with minimal adoption, abandoned apps, and widespread reports of scamming behavior, broken promises, and toxic community management.

's Missteps and Community Neglect”The @EclipseFND project has been a massive disappointment for many in the crypto space. Their much-hyped $ES token launch was an absolute trainwreck, plagued by a lack of transparency that left investors in the dark. The team’s communication has been abysmal, with vague updates and a clear disregard for addressing legitimate community concerns. It feels like they’re more interested in funneling benefits to a select group of insiders than building a fair, inclusive ecosystem. Loyal supporters who believed in the project’s vision have been left high and dry, with token distribution mechanics that blatantly favor early whales over regular users. The lack of accountability and their dismissive attitude toward feedback only deepen the frustration. Honestly, @EclipseFND needs to step up, own their mistakes, and start prioritizing the community over their own interests if they want to regain any trust.

RB やけど · 1324· 1y ago · negative10“A bunch of clowns trying to teach lessons about web3 communities”We have seen many projects do poorly this last year. We saw Starknet not considering liquidity providers for their airdrop, we saw Scroll distributing dust to their users after months of milking and we have seen Linea postponing their token forever after 5 different campaigns. But I think no team is closer to Eclipse when it comes to being a miserable group of founders that orbit around the figure of Alucard, their leader. Ignoring the fact that their former CEO is a sex offender that has been selling his allocation OTC, everything about this blockchain is terrible. They could have taken advantage of being the most well-funded SVM, but instead, they've focused their efforts on tapping on a cow for several months and pontificating about what a true crypto community is through their NFT collection, the ASCs. Their leader, Alucard, he sees himself as some kind of web3 god, and for some reason, he thinks people are using Eclipse for reasons other than making money. This guy suffers from some kind of narcissistic disorder, and once they airdrop, he's going to be hit by reality: no one wants to use his Layer 2. Crypto users want to extract as much money from projects as possible and then move on to the next one. Personally, I don't see any reason to use Eclipse once they airdrop.

CCF 🍐 · 1282· 1y ago · negative18“Strong Tech Undermined by Poor Community Management”Eclipse offers an interesting proposition by combining the speed of Solana with the security of Ethereum, a vision compelling enough for me to being invested my money and time since December 2024. However, despite the technical potential, the project’s community leadership has been deeply disappointing. The Community Lead publicly promised that loyal members of Eclipse and the ASC holders would be rewarded, while simultaneously engaging in public conflicts with other projects in an arrogant and unprofessional manner. This culminated in a TGE event that not only failed expectations but actively harmed the community that had supported them from the beginning. The technology may be promising, but in crypto, strong community management is just as critical and Eclipse has completely failed in that regard.

aldocedok · 1226· 10mo ago · negative9“Didn’t value community”While branding itself as “Ethereum’s fastest L2 powered by the SVM” sounds compelling, the architectural tradeoffs aren’t clearly communicated. Using a Solana VM stack on Ethereum introduces non-trivial trust, compatibility, and long-term decentralization questions, especially around execution guarantees, validator incentives, and fault isolation. There’s also a noticeable gap between narrative and transparent technical substance. Beyond high-level claims about speed and performance, it’s still unclear how Eclipse plans to sustainably differentiate from other modular or alt-VM L2s once benchmarks normalize and incentives fade.
