From 44 activities · Apr 2026Starknet is a ZK-rollup with solid technology—STARK proofs, Cairo language, low fees, and account abstraction—but faces severe community backlash centered on its airdrop distribution. The snapshot criteria excluded active users who lacked ETH balance despite using the network, and dismissive team communication (notably calling community members "e-beggars") fractured trust. Post-TGE, the token price collapsed dramatically, user activity dried up, and the project is widely perceived as having prioritized insiders over genuine supporters, leaving it labeled a "ghost chain" despite its technical merit.

Users still face weak tooling, limited apps, and gaps in experience. The promise of a new DeFi layer feels half finished The zk tech is sold as the engine that will supercharge the network. Yet many in the community see more talk than working delivery. Adoption stays slow. Liquidity is thin. Developers struggle with the rough edges of the stack, slowing growth For anyone looking at Starknet today, the story feels more marketing than substance. Until it proves stable and delivers a smoother DeFi experience, it risks being seen as another loud project with little follow through

Defjnite · 1294· 1y ago · negative9“Scamnet”As someone who has supported Starknet from the early days, I can’t help but feel let down. It was introduced as a groundbreaking answer to Ethereum’s scaling challenges, yet over time it has come to represent missed commitments and a lack of regard for its community. For me, and for many others who believed in the vision, the journey has been marked more by disappointment and frustration than progress.

Dasrackhor · 1265· 1y ago · negative9“Overpromised Layer 2, Underwhelming Reality”For all the talk about being a “pioneer” in ZK-Rollups, Starknet has failed to deliver a smooth or valuable user experience. The network once went down for 8 hours with barely anyone noticing a clear sign of low traction. Their airdrop criteria made little sense, alienating many early testers. The dApp ecosystem is weak, community management is lacking, and STRK’s price continues to slide. Compared to other L2s like Arbitrum or Optimism, Starknet is miles behind in both adoption and trust.

I hope you guys remember all these things yes , i'm talking bout starknet , an L2 which no one needed then and now .. there was a reason they were called stucknet cause of the time being taken for tx to go through

RB やけど · 1324· 1y ago · negative9“I don't understand this.”In general, Starknet seemed quite interesting, as it is new in L2 networks and, with the right approach, could have shown something worthwhile on the market, but... Unfortunately, we see what we see. Perhaps in a couple of years Starknet will perform well and I will even change my opinion, but at the moment Starknet is going nowhere. It's not even about the airdrop (thanks for that, of course), but about the words spoken by the people who were the face of the project. And this is where it has led.

tulenka · 1393· 1y ago · negative9“not dead, just dumped, fud loud, devs louder”Starknet’s rollout was messy, no sugarcoating that. The airdrop hit like a grenade, misaligned allocations, OG contributors skipped, sybil farms rewarded, and then they hit us with a $26B FDV on launch. That alone turned a ton of folks off. When you combine that with a CEO exit, 3AC/Alameda bag pressure, and a sub-$0.12 token, it’s no surprise the timeline’s full of people calling it dead. But ngl, most of the hate ignores what’s still being built. zkLend, Vesu, Cartridge, Doj. builders never really left. Starknet's still doing serious volume and devs still back the AA + Cairo stack. Yeah, the tokenomics felt like a VC op at launch, but the unlock schedule was adjusted, and the infra’s maturing fast. The ZK wars aren’t over, and Starknet’s still in the ring. It’s easy to farm engagement by yelling “rug” or “ghost chain,” but that’s not the full story. If you’re only tracking price, you’ll miss the dev activity and partnerships stacking behind the scenes. Whether STRK recovers or not is another bet, but calling the tech a failure? Nah, that’s just FUD bait.
