“Goldfinch: Broken Trust After v1 Collapse”Goldfinch’s v1 suffered massive losses due to simultaneous defaults from several borrowers, resulting in tens of millions of dollars lost for liquidity providers. The recovery and compensation process has been delayed for over a year, without any clear progress or transparent updates. While the team was busy promoting new private credit products, they failed to properly support affected investors, and critical information was withheld. The community’s trust in both the team and project has effectively collapsed. The restructuring and recovery efforts (led by the CRO) have stagnated for months, and promised updates are repeatedly missed. Since the v1 failure, accountability, investor protection, and open communication from the team have been severely lacking. Based on their handling of the situation, Goldfinch is no longer a project I can trust.
