Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

“Good vibes”Jesse is the real deal vibrant, grounded, and endlessly supportive. I first noticed them as a reply girl on X, but it didn’t take long to realize they’re so much more than a name in the comments. Jesse brings an unmistakable energy: warm, cool, and rooted in genuine care for the people around them. What sets Jesse apart is how consistently they show up not just online, but emotionally and spiritually. They move with intention, speak with purpose, and carry themselves with the heart of a true believer. Whether offering words of encouragement, amplifying others’ voices, or just being authentically themselves, Jesse has a way of lifting people up. Jesse isn’t trying to impress—they’re just being real. And in a world that often feels performative, that kind of presence is rare. They’re a bright thread in the fabric of any community lucky enough to have them.Sandwich · 1282· 1y ago16

“Jesse = Base”Every time I hear Jesse, Base always comes first to my mind. Jesse is well known as a superior builder, but as time goes He needs a lot more to improve to make the Base ecosystem a lot better. As of now, Base is almost dead with full of flopped projects and jeets, One good update and Base will be back on top.DeeBeeDoo · 1294· 1y ago · neutral16
