Jesse Pollak is the founder and primary face of Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase, credited with transforming it into one of the most active and accessible L2 ecosystems through relentless community engagement, daily promotion, and support for builders and creators. His consistent shipping, low fees, and developer-first vision have earned widespread respect, though his backing of creator coins, meme tokens, and projects like Soulja Boy's coin—some of which crashed dramatically or proved to be scams—has drawn significant criticism for recklessness and poor judgment despite apparent good intentions.

““face of basechain””He's done a great job promoting Base to the public. Without his consistent efforts, I can confidently say Base likely wouldn't be what it is today. He went to the streets and made videos just to promote crypto and Base. He tweets daily, supporting Base content creators and builders. He truly response to users when he sees good comments. This is not one of those all-talk, no-show people. This is the guy. This guy is Base.

“Amazing Founder”I love how energetic Jesse is always. As a founder your job is not just to build cool and efficient tech but also to be able to lead the aspiring builders and creators and thats what Jesse is really good at.

“Jesse has built a fast, cheap, trusted and fun blockchain that is successfully bringing more people onchain”Jesse Pollak has done an outstanding job creating & leading Base, one of the most userfriendly Layer2 blockchains today. He has made it simple, fast & welcoming for beginners and experienced users alike.Thousands of people are actively using Base everyday. With extremely low fees (often just a few cents) and high speed, it has become a favorite for everyday users, traders and developers. The ecosystem is growing fast with strong DEXs, good trading volume & many dApps. Backed by the trusted name of Coinbase, Base feels safe & reliable. The community is also very excited and keeps pushing for a potential Base token airdrop to reward early supporters. Overall, Base is quickly becoming one of the most promising chains in crypto.

“The Base Founder”Got an invite to the base app about three months ago now and it's been bliss experiencing great features on the app and it looks so much distant from the noise on X. i've also faced so many bulgy issues since i joined, many times my post don't deliver once and for all, had to be waiting and checking in another time. But apart from this love the interactive sessions the app brings and the mini apps too.

“Real base Og and great builder”I’ve been following Jesse since last few years maybe you could say since the early Base chain days. He’s a great builder with a big vision. Base is the best chain: low fees and very developer-friendly. be based

“jesse’s building where art meets code, base is culture with infra”Jesse’s been going hard for the onchain creator economy and it shows. He’s not just shipping Base as another L2. he’s got vision, tying infra to culture in a way that actually feels usable. The push for sub-cent fees and smart wallets isn’t just dev talk, it’s unlocking stuff for artists, musicians, and everyday creators who’ve been boxed out of crypto till now. Watching @baseapp evolve feels like watching the beginning of something sticky, fr. What hits most is that Jesse keeps it personal while still building at scale. He’s out here spotlighting early song coins, signal-boosting creators, and catching real praise from builders who matter. There’s no ego, just momentum. You can tell he’s not chasing a cycle, he’s building rails for the next one.

“A View from OpenSea”I've been working with Jesse ever since Base rolled-out and OpenSea adopted. This guy is always online, looking out for creators, and more than happy to give his opinion on personal ventures in dms. All around 10/10. If you're a creator, Jesse is why you'd wanna create on Base. He's always trying to bring success to those who believe Base's vision.
