“a smart extractor...”...but an extractor nevertheless. Many extractors don't have the platform nor skills to actually extract intelligently. But that's where Gary shines. He already had the platform, and he used it to extract intelligently through creating a flywheel into his other ventures at the peak of the NFT bubble in 2021. Remember the book games? People had to buy 12 books to get a book games NFT. This was at the peak of the NFT hype in 2021, so many people bought multiple batches of 12 books. I recall some people posting pictures of books stacked up to their ceiling lol Some people literally bought HUNDREDS of them ONLY to get the NFTs. There were initially 125.000 book games NFTs. 12 books = 1 token 125000 book games NFTs * 12 books = 1 500 000 books sold They were selling for $29.99 each, so people were paying $360 pro set of 12 books. 1.5m books * $29.99 = $44 985 000 About 45 million dollars in book sales, of a book nobody was even interested in because they just bought them for the token. They treated it purely as an NFT ticket and later tried to dump or give away the physical copies. Not only did Gary sell $45m worth of a book that most people didn't even want to read, but this quickly put Gary on bestseller lists and gave him an even bigger platform than he already had. I have to mention one thing: The $45m is total sales, but obviously not everything went to Gary. The standard rates for author royalties based on my search would be: >Hardcover: Usually 10% of the list price on the first several thousand copies, then escalates to 12.5% and often 15% after 10,000+ copies sold. So he probably pocketed $4.5m+ on those. But everyone talked about the books, everyone talked about Gary - and everyone talked about the NFTs. The hype grew exponentially from that point on. In the end most people didn't even read the books. I recall hundreds of posts initially saying they will sell their full sets of books for less than half of what they bought them for, but nobody actually wanted them. So people just tried to (desperately) give them away for free, especially those people who bought hundreds of copies and had rooms full of books they didn't even want to read in the first place. Not that many people were interested in taking them for free either. Some were donated iirc, but most of them probably ended at the trash dump. Highly wasteful method to generate hype for NFTs... but a smart way to generate massive amounts of hype around yourself and your NFT drop. The book games basically enticed people with NFT tokens (at the peak of NFT hype + coming from a know person), but ended up giving Gary a major cash injection plus an even bigger platform through putting him on bestseller lists and on everyones radar. Suddenly everyone was talking about him and all eyes were on his NFTs. The book tokens were burnable and people could exchange them for other stuff: VeeCon tickets, sports cards, other VeeFriends NFTs, access advantages for Series 2 minting, etc. They were mainly a flywheel into more of Gary's ventures, boosting the interest and status of them as well. As I said, a smart extractor. Probably the smartest out there. When you look at VeeFriends NFT (still at 1.65 ETH floor) you might notice that not only look they awful, but some characters exist in high numbers. There are some 1/1 characters, some that exist 40 times. One character has 125 NFTs, another 555. The highest sale was for the "empathy elephant" (character exists 40 times), and it peaked at 130 ETH. Why? Because it has a different color background than other elephants, so someone paid $495k for it 😹 That's 2021 NFT hype for you. So what did the NFTs do exactly, besides being ugly as hell? Oh yeah, more access into Gary Vee's stuff. They "unlocked real-world experiences with GaryVee, including one-on-one mentorship, group hangouts, games, competitions, podcast appearances, and more." Basically another flywheel into other Gary Vee's world - giving people some perks, but letting Gary benefit the most. This is how you extract the smart way. Not by being greedy, but by using hype to generate more hype - and funneling that hype towards your persona and your ventures where you can continue extracting the smart way. I don't like Gary at all. Because I don't like motivational speaker guru personalities. Whenever I've seen people meeting Gary (for a whole 30 seconds!) all he had to say was a bunch of vague bullshit. I recall people calling it lifechanging, and a lot of them were even crying because they got to meet Gary for half a minute and get something signed. LOL It's pretty sad in my opinion. The fact that meeting some "guru" for 30 seconds let them feel seen as a human and was "lifechanging" should tell you a lot about the audience guru personalities attract. It's vulnerable people. I don't want to post specific tweets that people posted to use them as an example, but you can get grok to find you some of those 2021-22 videos... Very culty guru vibes. A couple days ago he was in a podcast with Logan Paul, yet another extractive personality - but one that is way more extractive and pivoted straight to grifting and rugging people. People have a way worse opinion about Logan, but that's because he extracted the dumb way - by being overly greedy. The two of them are basically different sides of the same coin tho. I didn't bother listening to the podcast, but I've seen some clips on twitter against my will. Ugh my poor ears and brain... I guess my opinion on Gary is going to be extremely unpopular, as people made decent money at the peak of the NFT bubble and he has a good reputation - that's because the best extractors aren't too greedy and extract slowly without rugging everyone in the process. People can profit on that. But I guess the main selling point was never the money, it was access to Gary. That's what a smart extractor does. And Gary is the smartest extractor guru personality of them all. Highly unpopular opinion, but even though he is smart and people consider him an "OG", it's still a guru extractor personality that people with common sense should find repulsive. But the fact that he is smart, highly energetic, charismatic and has a large platform (and knows how to use it really well) does sadly attract a lot of people... This turned out longer than I've anticipated, and it's not going to be popular, but oh well. It's my opinion and I stick by it.on Gary Vaynerchuk · 1797· 2mo ago · negative6
“Alleged pedophile, Epstein's masonic buddy, most likely had something to do with Nikolai Mushegian's murder”"Alleged" pedophile with accusations going back as far as 1999 Epstein's masonic buddy Located in Puerto Rico Nikolai Mushegian's (@delete_shitcoin) last tweet before he died was: "CIA and Mossad and pedo elite are running some kind of sex trafficking entrapment blackmail ring out of Puerto Rico and caribbean islands. They are going to frame me with a laptop planted by my ex gf who was a spy. They will torture me to death." He was found dead mere hours afterwards. Drowned. Still in his clothes. Still having his wallet. Some reports mention him being dragged to the beach by unidentified individuals. Immediately after his death, Brock Pierce was on a media spree: "Pierce told The Post Mushegian's death was a tragedy that may never be solved". "Pierce told the Daily Mail that he was satisfied Nikolai's death was not suspicious." So, to sum it up: Brock Pierce is an alleged pedophile living in Puerto Rico. He has direct ties to Epstein. There are emails sent to Epstein inviting him to his "masonic temple" aka his house in Puerto Rico - which he describes as the "first Masonic Temple built in the new world". Nikolai was found dead hours after his tweet about pedoelites in Puerto Rico - and Brock Pierce immediately went on a media spree claiming there is nothing suspicious about his death. Brock most likely was directly involved with Nikolai's death. Which most likely was a murder. https://x.com/miyaspokeofthis/status/2018817129148186733 https://x.com/miyaspokeofthis/status/2018178197276279056on Brock Pierce · 1380· 9mo ago · negative2
“awful platform / even worse support”I randomly got eligibility for Espresso due to Superposition activity - and the claim requires using Authena. Was my first time using their platform. Using Authena SUCKS. Had to connect pretty much every social account 10x and it still didn't connect them properly until I've tried multiple times in a row again and again and again and again. At some point it FINALLY connected properly without throwing errors. But the issues didn’t end there… Points where eligibility should be present (account age / having premium on twitter / etc) didn't count even though they should have. Refreshing eligibility threw errors over and over again. Trying to reconnect the accounts threw errors and then just didn't let you reconnect them at all. Went ahead and signed out and signed in again - same thing. As nothing was working, I proceeded to delete the profile and tried doing the process again from a different device & browser a while later - BUT IF YOU DELETE YOUR PROFILE IT APPARENTLY WON'T LET YOU SIGN IN WITH THE SAME ACCOUNTS AGAIN LOL "Credentials belong to a different account" when you try to sign in with your wallet. Pretty hilarious. It's literally just wallet sign-in, so why can't the wallet be used to sign in / sign up again after account deletion? What’s the point in making account connections single use & not allowing the user to reconnect them? It's literally the same wallet? Which is not connected to any account anymore? But apparently after you disconnect socials -> cannot connect them again. Remove wallet/delete account -> cannot use that wallet anymore. That is just straight up stupid. Why are they making account connections single use? What’s the point? Reached out to support, mentioned the above and that it's basically a 0/10 experience so far. Instead of any help - their support was condescending and passive aggressive due to me mentioning that the experience with their platform was 0/10 due to various issues... LOL! Not my fault that their service is broken and that the experience is awful, and I'm not gonna take shit from some support person who throws a tantrum because I mention the experience is bad. Ultra unhelpful and unpleasant. Those 15 minutes of trying to use Authena & contacting their support were less than a 0/10 experience, it's absolutely awful. UX/UI issues and especially their support - ALL JUST ULTRA AWFUL. Cannot recommend using Authena to anyone.on Authena · 1145· 10mo ago · negative2
