The idea of collecting digital badges for attending events seemed cool on paper, but in reality, it often turned into a frustrating experience. Minting a POAP could take hours, and sometimes you even had to pay fees just to get one which, let’s be real, didn’t hold much actual value. What made it worse was how the team seemed to cash out and disappear once the initial hype was over. The project stopped getting updates, lost its momentum, and quickly fell behind. What could’ve been a fun, community-driven experience turned into a bit of a joke an idea that looked good in theory but failed completely in execution. In the end, POAP is a perfect example of a project with a nice concept but poor delivery. Without real user value, consistent updates, or a sustainable vision, it became just another Web3 project that burned bright for a moment and then faded into irrelevance.

And when the inevitable happened a hack it shattered the fragile trust the project had worked so hard to build. after the breach, the project’s momentum collapsed. users fled, confidence evaporated, and evmos slowly sank into the swamp of forgotten projects that once promised innovation but delivered disappointment. In the end, evmos serves as a brutal reminder that in web3, marketing can buy you attention, but only security earns you survival.

The team cleverly capitalized on the buzz around zksync, scroll,{zk rollup} and evemos, targeting users from these ecosystems who were actively farming and hunting for airdrops. with flashy marketing and promises of a “cross-chain space ecosystem,” spacefi managed to attract a huge user base fast. But behind the cosmic visuals and fancy narratives, there was no real substance. Instead of building tangible value, the project sold users on gimmicks “spaceships,” NFTs, and staking pools that were supposed to be part of some grand metaverse vision. In reality, those ships and NFTs were nothing more than on chain JPEGs with zero real-world utility or sustainable reward mechanisms. Thousands of users locked their assets, farmed tokens, and bought NFTs expecting growth but what they got instead was silence. As soon as the initial hype faded, the team went dark. Development stalled, social activity dried up, and what’s left now is a ghost project with worthless tokens and abandoned farms.

Nick, the founder, didn’t just lose the plot he became the plot twist. He’d ban users from discord for saying “hi” purge his own teammates, and turn community calls into trust issues therapy sessions. It stopped being a defi project and turned into a social experiment on how not to run a decentralized community. The “community votes”? Total theater. Decisions were already made; the voting was just for show a fake layer of democracy to keep the illusion alive. Everyone saw through it, and the once hopeful community started laughing instead of believing. And when dex Guru finally had its golden moment a real chance to grow and redeem itself Nick’s obsession with control killed it. Instead of scaling, he froze. Instead of trusting, he deleted. The project didn’t just fail it imploded under its own founder’s fear.

Wherever there was a trace of liquidity flow, he would reach that project earlier than others If I were to talk about this person's potential and knowledge, I'm sure he had the ability to be an ambassador a manager or even launch a project that had something to say This old friend of mine has it I always saw him talking about valuable NFTs and small projects with great potential on his social media

It’s a perfect example of how flashy marketing can’t cover up the lack of real delivery. web3 deserves better than empty promises.
