From 713 activities · Mar 2026Serpin is the founder and CEO of Ethos Network, a platform building on-chain reputation and trust systems for Web3. A 12-year product leader with experience at Atlassian, HouseCallPro, and as an early hire at Message.io (YC W16), he brings deep expertise in product, security, identity verification, and fraud prevention. Known for hands-on community engagement, transparent leadership, and relentless focus on detecting Sybil actors and bad actors through slashing and verification mechanisms, Serpin is widely recognized as a builder committed to doing things the right way rather than chasing hype—consistently shipping features, hosting vibe coding sessions and spaces, and staying actively involved in Discord and community feedback loops.

As a founder, he is very responsive to the community, provides great communication, and will listen to anyone with an opinion on his project. Really like what his project is doing for crypto, there are a lot of good actors and bad actors in the industry, and he is helping other to know who is in which pile.

A platform that helps me meet and get to know many new friends around the world. I can know the leaders and influencers in different fields. That makes me learn and discover more interesting knowledge from them. I am extremely looking forward to what his next steps with Ethos are.

Roseanne · 1276· 1y ago19“A founder that communicates with the community”A founder that saw a problem and brought the solution to execution. In 2021 I was Hacked, if there was a good dApp or tool like Ethos then it wouldn't have happened, I was hacked based on a Job interview with a scammer, Recently I had another founder approach me and i Just decided to check him out on ethos and thanks to the score system I found out he was a scammer, Ethos saved me recently thanks to you Serpin.. Serpin responds to community members easily on X. I've asked him a Couple of questions and he responded well. He is a good Founder.

Not only did he generously host an AMA session in our community Discord, but he also patiently walked us through every facet of what he’s been building. His insights, humility, and willingness to engage directly with our members set a new standard. The platform itself is a testament to his foresight and dedication intuitive, robust, and clearly crafted with both creators and users in mind. Seeing someone so passionate about elevating the space and fostering genuine community dialogue is truly inspiring. Highly recommend keeping an eye on what Serpin does next. He’s not just building a product; he’s shaping an ecosystem.

yoona · 986· 1y ago19“Impressive Builder, Top Class Founder”okay I gotta admit, Serpin was the first person I wrote a negative review for I was during the days he spoke about some certain people as a net negative but since then my opinion has greatly changed - first he encourages people to build and try out things, and even hosts livestream to show how (I also got to know about cursor and claude's capabilities from him) - next he is openminded actually and is willing to change his opinion based on the data and facts (I saw that with humanity fiasco) - and to round it off, he's a good founder, ethos keep improving continuously as a product and has become something I actually enjoy using (the extension is quite useful for CT)
