I had the chance to interact with him when we were setting up Ethereum France, and I was struck by how genuinely enthusiastic and supportive he was of the French community at a time when it was still small and finding its footing. That attitude has never really changed: more than a decade in, he still engages in good faith, writes openly about his reasoning, admits uncertainty, and keeps pushing the ecosystem toward decentralization, privacy and credible neutrality rather than toward his own interests. Beyond the technical and intellectual contribution, which speaks for itself, he has consistently used his influence to empower others and fund public goods. Trustworthy, principled, and deeply committed to the long-term health of Ethereum.

With OAK Invest, he built a serious, pedagogical media at a time when most French crypto coverage was noise, hype or shilling. He then took the much harder path of launching OAK Research and building an English-speaking audience from scratch, betting on depth and rigor. Hardworking, sharp, honest, and a genuine asset to both the French and global crypto communities.

Founder and organizer of Protocol Guild, he turned a hard problem into a working onchain mechanism that has now routed over $100M to around 190 client devs and researchers. I specifically appreciate his articles articulating a clear thinking on Ethereum as a digital commons. He consistently puts the protocol and its contributors ahead of personal visibility, and he says what he thinks even when it isn't comfortable. Ethereum is lucky to have him.
