“Useful Web3 Security Tool”Scam Sniffer has a wallet security extension that helps you stay safe in web3 while transacting with websites. It warns from phishing websites and malicious signatures. What I like most is the X profile of them, which has a lot of stats about users getting phished - which is still shocking to me as a web3 security educator, as we often see cases with 6+ figures stolen. They're fighting the good fight.

“Swiss Army Knife for CT”Crossed paths with Dom in 2022 I think. We both were part of smaller, German CT communities. Not only is Dominic super nice and approachable, he's also very versatile when it comes to skills. “Account used / hijacked for scamming”Tactical Investing's account was used in a recent social engineering scam on @jakegallen_. The initial contact was made for podcast interview requests for Jake and his project. The YouTube account is five years old and has some reputation, so his X account might have been hijacked to achieve this. The scammers scheduled a Zoom call with Jake through Telegram, and they took advantage of the request remote access feature that is enabled on Zoom by default for guests on a call. Through that, they installed Malware on his device. ELUSIVE COMET is responsible for millions in crypto lost to this point. Stay away from Zoom interviews and screen share / remote requests!

“Promoted in spam comments”Dude seems to have bought a pack of fake, spam bots to promote his X account. Every now and then you'll find someone spam a comment on how they made 160k on a random CT tweet. Get the f* outta here, dude.

“Fake Recovery Service”This is a service that is pretending to be a crypto recovery service. They interacted with my content in the past and therefore got my attention. They have fake attestations on their profile and tend to retweet legit websites like crypto.com to appear as to have skin in the game. Please don't get fooled by any of these recovery services. They will not recover any stolen funds. Please never pay them any upfront fees.

“Crisis Response was A+”In Web3 security, we all know that vulnerabilities can and eventually will happen to almost everybody. That's when crisis response kicks in. Gnosis Pay experienced an incident in a Zodiac delay module on June 1st, which caused some of their crypto card users to lose their funds. I have a few friends who are using their service and some were affected by this. With this review, I wanted to highlight their crisis communication around the incident. They acknowledged the incident early (also through personal accounts like @koeppelmann) and told users from the first tweet that everyone affected would be reimbursed. I also heard (have not verified) that they did an exceptionally good job on Discord of getting updates out to users. They announced to share more details about the incident, and pointed out that affected users will receive new card Safes. From a security POV this was exceptionally well handled, as the Gnosis team made user safety the priority from step 1. Good job!

“Legit Cast - BUT”The Index Podcast seems to be a legit show from what I can tell. BUT - Here's the problem: Fake recruiters or fake employees contact people under the disguise of working for this podcast to get them on the show. Obviously, they aren't going to invite you to the real show, but are coming at you with malicious streaming service clients, or even terminal commands that ultimately will lead you to download and install malware / a virus on your machine. I know this is the real profile for the podcast - but in case anyone is looking this up and finds this review (which is neutral), this should help you out! Never download any clients for these podcasts, always use a hardware wallet.

“Scam Podcast”Spinoff for @BlockLayerPods, which has been flagged as a scam / malware project. They take clips from other, outdated podcasts to frame they had the "guests" and make the cast look legitimate. Currently the tactic is - start with a legit Gmeet, then push you off to a fake podcasting client like a fake Streamyard one. Honestly if you are not paying too much attention to this, it might be really easy to fall for. Don't ever use a non-browser application for any podcast invites. Never download any forced "updates".
